Don't be fooled by the term "semi marathon": You don't need to start a 21-kilometre race to take part in this sports event. 10 kilometres will be enough for the least experienced! Meet March 14 th, 2018 in Bourg-en-Bresse! 1 560 runners will drive on that day the streets of the city and the country roads. Counsel: register before J day, the rates will be more advantageous.

Tariff: € 12 for the 10 km (or 15 € on site), € 14 for the semi marathon (or € 19 on site).

Distance: 10 km or 21 km.

Difficulty: average to difficult.

Rendez-vous: Sportif sports complex in Bourg-en-Bresse, at 15 pm.

Special provisions: any non-licensee shall have a medical certificate indicating the absence of a contraindication to the practice of the race on foot.

The Glorieuses de Bresse will celebrate their 150 years in 2012. In fact, since 1862, at Christmas, Bourg-en-Bresse (on 14 December), Louhans (15 December), Pont-de-Vaux (16) and Montrevel (18) welcome the most beautiful poultry in Bresse. Turkey, capons, poulardes, plucked chickens, rolled, restricted and moulded into a vegetable canvas according to ancestral know-how, all the fine flower of Bresse's production - world AOC - is exposed and then put on sale after the competition under the covered market. Professionals, restaurateurs and personalities meet to reward the know-how of the bressans breeders, crowned by the restoration of a vase of Sèvres offered by the President of the Republic.

The tourist office offers guided tours of the poultry competition between a. m. and p. m. at 3 €. It is advisable to reserve 04 74 22 49 40.

Organized for 8 years by the ADABio association, this fair, which is held under the covered market in the city centre, brings together more than 50 exhibitors and receives 3,000 to 4,000 visitors. An opportunity for exchanges and discoveries for these visitors, this is a great time.
