Top Lage direkt am Pabstpalast, die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das hoteleigene Restaurant ist auch sehr gut, sehr leckeres Essen. Frühstück Top, sehr schöne Terasse. Der Service war immer top, die Angestellten waren stets freundlich und hilfsbereit und sehr engagiert. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geschmackvoll. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen sehr schönen „Snack“teller.

We komen al een aantal jaren in dit hotel op onze doorreis naar Spanje. Avignon is een geweldige stad. Het hotel ligt middenin het centrum. Je loopt naar buiten en bent meteen in de sfeer van de stad.
Het verblijf in het hotel is al jaren constant. Dat is heel knap! De ontvangst is allerhartelijkst. De kamer eenvoudig, maar compleet en fijn. Het ontbijtbuffet is werkelijk fabuleus. Heerlijke gerechten en ook dingen uit de streek. Tot volgend jaar!

Literie de mauvaise qualité, la chambre pas faite une journée alors qu'elle était libre de 10h30 à 15h30. Les plateaux repas et petits déjeuners restent la journée dans le couloir et pour couronner le tout, nous avons commandé la veille de notre départ un plateau repas qui a mis 1h30 à arriver. Je suis descendue au bar pour demander ce qu'il en était et la personne à qui j'ai eu affaire m'a tout simplement planté là en me soutenant que le plateau avait été livré. Elle est montée dans notre chambre par un autre accès pour apporter ce plateau qui avait été livré à une autre chambre. Je me suis retrouvée dans la chambre (me doutant qu'elle était montée) et lorque je lui ai dit qu'elle se moquait de moi, elle a été très agressive. Cette personne s'est bien moquée de moi et je trouve ce comportement inadmissible pour ce type d'hôtel. Nous avons l'habitude de séjourner aux hôtels Mercure et c'est la première fois que nous rencontrons ce genre de problèmes et nous sommes très déçus de notre séjour.

Perfect location, direct access to the Papal Palace. A city parking is near the hotel. Spacious room, comfortable bed, good hot water pressure in the bathroom. Large selection of food for breakfast, including local products. Friendly staff. If there are excursion groups in the hotel, it is better to come for breakfast early, otherwise you may have to wait.

L'accueil personnalisé est très appréciable ainsi que le choix de la chambre surtout en periode de Festival le Directeur Nicolas Premier est très accueillant, chaleureux et professionnel, ce qui est assez rare pour le souligner.

Hôtel très bien situé, les chambres côté jardins sont au calme et confortables.Acces parking direct payant avec remise de 20%.Accueil sympathique.En revanche, prix trop élevés pendant les périodes rouges (été et Festival).

Excellent accueil par l'hotesse quand nous sommes arrivés, tout plutôt bien, sauf la douche où le pommeau plafonnier était assez sale et les trous presque tous bouchés.
Voilà, sinon, OK.

J’ai réservé une chambre standard or j’ai eu la mauvaise surprise de découvrir que la douche était pour les personnes à mobilité réduite, c’est-à-dire sans cloison, si bien qu’il y avait de l’eau partout dans la salle de bain après chaque douche. Je n’avais pas été prévenue de cela et c’était un vrai désagrément.
Par ailleurs il s’agissait - contrairement à l’annonce encore une fois - d’un faux lit double. C’étaient en fait deux lits accolés l’un à l’autre.
Bref, une mauvaise expérience surtout vu le prix très cher.

I have written very few reviews, but this hotel deserves one. Very unhappy with our stay here. Here’s why.

I forgot two dresses in the closet when we had an early departure. When our tour director notified them the next day, they could not locate either dress. This seems dishonest and unacceptable to me. Where could they have gone?

You will not be able to use any blow dryer in the bathroom, as the electrical outlet simply will not work even with the hotel’s provided (Europe wattage)blow dryer. The current is truly for razors only. Highly inconvenient to blow dry my hair outside the bathroom where the only mirror was awkward and nowhere near a table. This situation was so odd (for 2025 in a decent chain hotel) that I asked the front desk who claimed it was a safety issue. I’ve stayed in many historical village convents with more convenient bathrooms.

For a hotel that has an attractive lobby and terrace, it was surprising to see a lot of paper trash strewn around the main entry to the hotel. The same trash I saw on day one was still present two days later when we left. I could have easily picked it all up, so why doesn’t the bellman bother to?

Only redemption was the location. No room service after 7 pm. Parking was not included. Breakfast was not included. Very expensive at 18 e for just an elevated continental breakfast. When showering the water shocks you with blistering hot to freezing cold. NOT HANDICAP accessable.

Die Lage direkt an der Stadtmauer ist schon super aber.....
4 Sterne für das Hotel- eher nicht!
Das Zimmer klein, das Bad dürfte mal geputzt werden.
An der grau- grün- blauen Wand undefinierbare Spritzer. Die Regenschauerdusche einfach ekelig.
Duschgel vorhanden, Bodylotion Fehlanzeige.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut.

Mostly good, but they booked out our entire floor to a group of young footballers, who were up all night, slamming doors and shouting in the hallway. They could have sent an email to the few guests staying that weekend to advise us, or put us on a different floor.

Management overall seems to be lacking. We had four people standing at reception on our arrival, but only one of them could check people in, the rest just standing there doing nothing.

Fitness centre is actually just a room with a treadmill and bike, not an actual fitness centre. So don't expect to workout.

Location is good enough, a 10-15 min walk to all main streets and restaurants, but very close to popular sightseeing.

A nice stay in Avignon. The hotel is extremely well located for the various sights of Avignon. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast spread was very good with many options.

I have traveled to a lot of places in my life, from all around the world. But I HAVE NEVER SEEN in my life a hotel that the GYM—the primary reason and criteria that I choose a hotel—was “privatized” (their words) to a soccer team and the other guest WERE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE GYM. Totally absurd and disgusting situation. DONT EVER COME TO THIS SHITTY PLACE

We had an exceptional stay at the Hotel. The location, breakfast, and services were all great. Souvenir shop outside. Check-in was incredibly fast, and they gave us a great room. Overall, our stay in Avignon was a delight.
