A clandestine and resistant newspaper at its beginnings in 1943, the newspaper saw its first legal issue published on 25 August 1944, the day after the liberation of the city of Marseille. This was a seminal moment in history, as the communist allegiance is to some extent the identity of La Marseillaise. Since April 2015, the daily newspaper offers an edition for the Gard and Hérault, another for the Bouches-du-Rhône and finally a third for the Var, Vaucluse and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The goal of this local satirical newspaper? To encourage debate on political, social, economic, cultural and environmental issues. All subjects and opinions are represented. Thus, each month Le Ravi tests incognito a municipal council in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, scrutinizes local life in large cities as well as in small villages, and sketches media personalities in its "heavyweight" portraits.
