Lacouade family: it is not only a name, it is also and above all 4 generations (since 1925...) of butcher- butcher-caterer in Itxassou with 2 shop windows. The first one is in Place du Fronton, the second one in the commercial area of Ordokia, at the entrance of the village, with Herriko beef, farm-raised veal, Manech pork, Iratzia farmed lamb, Basque Country lamb, farm-raised poultry from L'Aile or La Cuisse à Souraïde. The house also offers a catering service with imaginative dishes prepared and elaborated in the workshop, adjacent to the historic shop.

J'ai laissé tomber mon régime végétarien pour quelques jours lors de mes vacances au Pays Basque et je peux vous dire que tout est délicieux dans la boucherie/charcuterie Lacouade.
