Hotel in Hendaye with personalised rooms with splendid views of the bay and the Jaizkibel.

Your hosts, long distance travelers, put down their luggage and took over this hotel a few years ago. The house built in 1900 by the architect Mr. Martinet who created Hendaye Plage is superb. An ascent by an old staircase leads you to the rooms, each of which has its own personality. One of them is under the roof, with exposed beams. Some of them have a splendid view on the bay and the Jaizkibel. An ideal situation, between ocean and mountain, 350 m from the beach, close to the Spanish border and at the departure of a multitude of excursions and hikes.

Booked online a double room, we were given room 10, there are no photos of this room online. Other double rooms looked fine from photos. Our room had no balcony like other rooms & was very small, skirting board paint was chipped, no air con & a fan was left on in the room all the time. The building outside needs repainting & the whole site needs a lot of maintenance. On checking reviews, this room had the most complaints, so no wonder there are no photos on website. We would not use this hotel again.

Cet hôtel est vétuste et mérite une grosse rénovation. 107€ hors petit déjeuner, même en saison, pour une chambre avec un volet cassé, une lampe sur deux qui marche, des joints de salle de bain noirs et une literie vieillissante (photos) c’est beaucoup trop.
Bordé d’une départementale très bruyante.

On est toujours bien accueilli dans cet hôtel, on y est allé plusieurs fois avec nos enfants,
Les chambres sont propres, les petits déjeuner sont top,bien copieux.
Il est bien placé, on est pas loin à pied de la plage, environ 10min à pied,
Il y a des places de parking juste devant!
