Read moreThe main objective of ADAPEI (Association départementale de parents et d'amis des personnes handicapées mentales - Departmental association of parents and friends of mentally handicapped people), as defined in its articles of association, is to "implement all means adapted to the moral, psychic, intellectual and physical development of the mentally handicapped person". The association supports over 2,100 people with disabilities, including some 350 children and teenagers, and is guided by the values of a global associative project: protection, autonomy, respect for the individual, citizenship and dignity. Every effort is made to meet the specific needs of each disabled person and their families.
