Vintage plate 2020

An address not to be missed in Biarritz, on the Port des Pêcheurs. Fresh, local fish, rigorously selected each morning by Sylvain, the owner; son, grandson, great-grandson and great-great-grandson of a fisherman and fishmonger. The fish arrive from the Saint-Jean-de-Luz fish market and you can even choose your own. This care taken with "the raw material" is found in the mouth: a delight. Sole, chipirons, turbot, sea bream, hake, lean, bluefin tuna, red mullet etc. Attractive value for money and quality at the rendezvous.

Opening time and information on LE CORSAIRE

Open all year round. In season, from lunchtime to late at night. A la carte: about 25 € (2 courses (fish and dessert)). Children's menu : 9,50 €. Daily menu : 20,50 € (7 days a week). Large terrace.

Restaurant Le Corsaire in Biarritz

An ideal location on the Port des Pêcheurs with a menu that offers fresh local fish.

Chef de cuisine Sylvain Layrisse, one of the actors of the restaurant Le Corsaire in Biarritz, has been sharing his roots and know-how for many years.
Fish has been a family affair since 1890. Son, grandson, great-grandson and great-grandson of a fisherman and fishmonger, he is keen to pass on his passion for local fishing.
All the fish offered at the restaurant Le Corsaire in Biarritz are carefully selected in the morning by Sylvain respecting the fishing techniques and favouring fish from the Bay of Biscay.
He is proud to be able to offer his guests the famous hake caught in the Gulf of Capbreton, renowned for its quality and flavour.

Prudenti is a 43 year old man of Corsican origin & has 31 years of experience in the restaurant business to his credit

He manages to this day several establishments related to the table, his knowledge is not any more debatable concerning this profession.
Passionate, it was normal that he shares this passion with the chef Sylvain Layrisse for the management of the restaurant le Corsaire in Biarritz

Huîtres tièdes au lieu d être froide en plat de la lotte,trop cuite mais froide, l écrasé de petits pois pareil et une énorme patate tiedasse. Je renvoie en cuisine on me ramène la même chose. Je ne mangé pas souvent au resto mais pour 21.2 la lotte surtout que pour ce prix je n avais que 2 petites tranches du fameux poisson...serveuse pas au niveau d ailleurs on attend toujours le pain pour les huîtres sui devait arrivé.... Ah oui les moules sont a 9.80 dans une assiette donc pas énorme sans frites sinon 5€ de plus.

Incontournable pour les amateurs de poissons tout frais pêchés !

Préparés avec talent (et amour), ils sont un délice. Nous n'avons pas goûté aux viandes.

Accueil sympa, service aux petits soins, rien à redire.

Le tout pour un excellent rapport qualité prix !
