The café-théâtre Le Petit Bijou captures the spirit of those Parisian places where comedy shows for young and old are offered in a warm setting, under the impetus of Mehdi and Virginie. 70 shows a year with an ever-enthusiastic audience who can, before or after the show, take advantage of the gourmet bar and its aperitif boards. This cinema, right in the center of Biarritz and a stone's throw from the Grande Plage, has been around since 1918! It has three screens, two small ones on the first floor and one large one upstairs, with capacities of 69, 96 and 286 seats respectively. The theaters are equipped with a modern digital sound system (Dolby Digital). Classified as an Art et Essai cinema, and also with the Europa Cinémas label, this perfectly updated structure has a fine cruising speed, with ciné-conférences. The cinema will undergo a facelift in the first half of 2024, with a planned reopening in June.

The eclectic Art Nouveau Gare du Midi has been completely renovated and converted into a Palais des Festivals with a capacity of up to 1,400 seats, for recitals, concerts, dance performances, plays, shows and even corporate events. It features a 1,400-seat auditorium with a 600 m² stage and 127 m² screen, a 230-seat auditorium... A space entirely dedicated to quality performances that match Biarritz's ambitions in terms of entertainment.

This is the place to be in the lively Halles district of Biarritz! Atabal, with 700 seats, has been the Biarritz music scene for over 18 years. With around a hundred concerts a year, the eclectic program is effective, from metal to hip-hop to reggae. A friendly bar is open on concert evenings. There's also an exhibition room featuring local artists, a multimedia space, and a rehearsal and recording studio. Atabal also offers guitar, bass, drums, singing and keyboard lessons... and a boutique selling bags and T-shirts for souvenirs. A creative city within a city.

LoAï FunkyMan is a singer-guitarist who brings a lounge and funky touch to your events in Biarritz. Whether it's for a lunch, a cocktail party, an indoor or outdoor dinner, he travels all over France and abroad. During his live concerts, he accompanies his funky guitar in a lounge atmosphere. At the microphone, he revisits classics by Lionel Richie, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, George Benson and Marvin Gaye. LoAï FunkyMan is also a singer-songwriter, drawing inspiration from his travels, encounters and life experiences. Based in the Basque Country since 2011, he performs his repertoire of revisited covers and compositions in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Landes regions.

Laurent Lacouture's L'Art Dit Vin is more than just a wine cellar; it's also a place for sharing and tasting. Our sommelier, who has a background in the hotel and restaurant business and worked for Trama at L'Aubergade (2 Michelin stars) in Puymirol, has created the concept of a wine bar in Biarritz. A fine selection of wines from France and around the world are served at the counter in a convivial atmosphere, as are the fine charcuterie platters on offer. A wonderful discovery.

N°4 Coffee Station is first and foremost a place for gourmet moments, savoury/sweet nibbles and exceptional coffee. It's also about two people, Basque by adoption, collectors of collector's vinyl and contributors of flavors and tastes. Homemade" is the order of the day here, at breakfast, lunch and brunch, with scrambled eggs, avocado-toast, banana bread and, to satiate the palate, fruit/vegetable juices and the sacrosanct house coffee ground to order in front of you, a specialty from local roasters.

For breakfast, lunch, dinner or an aperitif, Olatua boasts one of the finest views facing the Rocher de la Vierge and the ocean. Access is via the Jardins de l'Atalaye next to the Aquarium. Hot and cold drinks are available all day long, and the restaurant offers a bistronomic menu featuring fresh local produce. The rooftop, meanwhile, offers a menu of world cuisine revisited with local flavors, fish ceviches, beef tataki, vegetarian dishes, beef and pork ribs... An exceptional location.

Every year in Biarritz, harnessed and mounted trotting races take place throughout July from 8pm on a renovated 803 m sand track with right-hand rope. The meeting comprises 13 evenings, culminating in the Grand Prix de la Ville organized by the Société des Courses au Trot de Biarritz, chaired by C. Hassenforder-Chabriac. Each evening, races take place between 8.10pm and 11.30pm. The racecourse opens at 7pm, and the pari-mutuel betting windows open at 7:45pm. Dates for 2024 night races: 2/4/6/9/11/13/16/18/20/23/25/26 (Grand Prix de la Ville) and July 30.

The bar-restaurant Le Royalty is an institution that has seen so many celebrities over more than a century, and which has managed to preserve its simplicity and above all its conviviality thanks to its captain Pascal Ondarts; one of the great rugby internationals of the 80s.
