Water sports and leisure activities Anglet/Angelu

Between the ocean and the Izadia ecological park, Anglet's Skate Park extends over 2,500 m². Here you can practice both skating and rollerblading. There are two bowls and a street area with slopes and other modules. BMX is also available, and helmets are compulsory. Right next to the Skate Park, there's an area dedicated to toddlers, where they can skate. It's easy to get to, with ample parking and catering facilities.

Surf Session is a surfing magazine published in France. It tracks good waves, offers a weather report, gives news and the site has opened a "surfers" section. Good addresses of shops, schools and clubs, very practical and also bars and restaurants to frequent after surfing. The oldest French surf magazine was founded in 1986 by Gibus de Soultrait and Pierre Bernard-Gascogne in Biarritz. It remains the^first French surfing magazine and still leader on its market. On its website, you can find videos, tutorials and an online store.

On the famous Cavaliers beach in Anglet, 5 minutes from Biarritz, Mathieu and his team of qualified instructors, with over 20 years' experience, organize, advise and introduce surfing to all ages. The school is certified by the French Surfing Federation. Lessons are scheduled according to the tides. In rough weather, the surf school can take you to more suitable spots. Lessons, courses, school and accommodation are also available during the week. The surf school has a new permanent structure on the beach, with an on-site shower.

From the age of 10, Les Guides de Bains Angloys introduces you to coastal lifesaving, with first aid training. Affiliated with the French Lifesaving Federation, the club prepares you for your lifeguard diploma. If you're in good physical condition and comfortable in the water, these courses will give you a better understanding of the ocean, its waves and currents. And take part in competitions! The store sells sweatshirts, T-shirts...

The El Hogar multisport center also has a 25-meter swimming pool. A relaxing activity par excellence, it keeps you in contact with the water all year round, since it's open both summer and winter. The pool has a removable roof that can be partly opened in fine weather. A lifeguard takes care of supervision. Learn-to-swim lessons are available. A solarium with a wooden terrace completes the offer. The city-center pool is well served by bus routes and has ample parking.

From the Anglet marina, get on board our fully serviced jets, and after a briefing with David and his team, all of whom are D.E. certified, set off to discover the long beaches of Anglet and Biarritz, all the way to the Rocher de la Vierge, past the lighthouse and the typical little fishing port. Energizing rides from the age of 16, no license required. More family-oriented and towed, aboard a buoy to discover the pleasures of gliding, towed by a boat piloted by a qualified instructor.
