Events calendar Anglet/Angelu

It is every year since 2015, the meeting of the best professional surfers on the planet! The International Professional Surfing Competition (QS 3.000), female and male of the World Surf League. This event was born from the common will of the city of Anglet and the WSL to put the town and the Basque Coast at the heart of the professional surfing qualifying circuit. It is now one of the most important events of the European season. The best pros come to compete on the famous spots of the Atlantic Ocean.

Open-air screenings of the latest surf films in the Jardin de la Grotte de la Chambre d'Amour in the evening, and daytime screenings at Espace de l'Océan. Each evening features a new concert, a food truck village for nibbling before the film screenings, and a fireworks display on the closing night to celebrate the festival's 20th anniversary. During the event, the Sportjam Surf Test will also give you the chance to try out the latest surf, surfskate and beach bike equipment.

The commune of Anglet has managed to develop its urban area to encourage outdoor activities. Benefiting from almost daily sunshine and pleasant temperatures, the town has opened up to the practice of cycling. The seafront is bordered by a cycle path, called Boulevard des Plages, which is 4.5 km long. Starting from the esplanade Yves-Brunaud, it goes up along the eleven beaches of the city, up to the beach of La Barre. From there, you can join the Adour river and pedal towards Bayonne on another cycle path along the water. The Boulevard des Plages can also be reached on foot. A total of almost 18 km have been laid out today. It's up to you to choose which beach you want to stop at!

The Place des Cinq Cantons continues to be a great success, as it is transformed to welcome some thirty artisans. The Quartier Moderne or young designers' weekend: two editions a year for over 10 years now: spring-summer in May and autumn-winter in December. It's Nouvelle-Aquitaine's designer brand show! Held at the Espace de l'Océan in La Chambre d'Amour, it brings together nearly 40 recognized and up-and-coming designers in various fields of fashion, accessories, cosmetics, decoration and art....
