This village, formerly called "Villecomble" or "Villecomtal-d'Armagnac" in honor of the Counts of Armagnac, stretches between Montréal-du-Gers and Eauze. This small bastide of the 13th century could not break through, because it was too close to the two competing towns. The "Bretagne" of its name betrays its English origins, when Gascony belonged to the English Guyenne. It must be understood in the sense of "British". From its medieval origins, some half-timbered houses and others with roofs remain. Also worth seeing are the old train station and its marquee, the old wash house and the church. Indeed, the bell tower is detached from the church Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
