This village is located between Monthureux-sur-Saône and Châtillon-sur-Saône. It is made up of two hamlets located on the right bank of the Saône: Grand-Thon and Petit-Thon. A castle was rebuilt in the 18th century on the ruins of an old fortress. The right wing of this castle was used to build a rich residence in the United States, in the suburbs of New York. The small town also houses religious buildings, such as the 15th and 19th century Cordeliers convent, and the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges chapel, classified as a historical monument. There is also a calvary, a wash house and fountains.
