On the border with Haute-Marne (Saint-Dizier 10 min away) and some 20 km from Bar-le-Duc. Its mild climate and advantageous location (fertile land, rolling hills, vast forests) contributed to its development during Antiquity and the High Middle Ages: many Gallo-Roman artifacts have been unearthed here. Nestled in a sublime landscape, some 30 km from Lac de Der, this stopover will delight nature and fishing enthusiasts. It boasts several caves and speleological sites. The town is dotted with historic monuments, such as the church of Saint-Martin and the timber-framed house on rue du Château, which can be discovered along the narrow streets.
