The castle of Puxe is steeped in history, that of counts, generals and captains who have lived in this magnificent castle since the th century, in the Lorraine countryside, between Verdun and Metz. The castle took another turning point in history, thanks to an enterprising family. The Choné family, of which 47 members and friends have joined together to take over this sumptuous stay, acquired from the Diocese of Nancy, to make it a farm-hostel first and then five guest rooms in the left wing of the castle. The park, with a surface area of three hectares, has a small pond and different species. It is a true arboretum made up of black pines, old-age willow, chestnut trees, sophora, japon of Japan, purple, maple… In the field, operators cultivate a vegetable garden and an orchard that supplies fresh products to the kitchen of the inn. At the time of their walk, visitors will discover the remains of an ancient greenhouse and walls that enserraient the castle, closed by a wrought iron grid, a school style Jean Lamour. The hotel offers a princely setting for bucolic stays. Remarkable elements of the architectural heritage, the dining room in the castle is filled with old stones, its large fireplace and the imposing staircase of honour have been highlighted.
