Read moreThe Voix du Monde international choral singing festival in Nancy is a major musical event that brings together choirs from all over the world every two years. In 2022, concerts and a grand closing evening took place. Since its creation in 1979, over 260 choirs from 63 different countries have taken part in the event. It's a festival of fraternity and exchange, with the special feature of artists and participants staying with local choir families. International choirs are already planned for 2024.

At the origin of the event, there is the André Malraux cultural centre in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, and the national stages in Bar-le-Duc and Forbach, with the obvious support of the Ballet de Lorraine. Subsequently, the event grew in size, to about thirty venues in the Grand-Est. A veritable laboratory for contemporary creation, which showcases both regional companies and troupes from all over the world.

The first edition of this event took place in 2021 on the theme of "Des arbres et des hommes" ("Trees and people"). SEMAINE DE L'IMPRO

The festival, conceived by the Crache-Texte company and the Impro Nancy association, features performances at the Théâtre Mon Désert of theatrical, musical, clowning, audiovisual and literary improvisation, as well as happenings by artists from Brazil, Colombia, Belgium and the USA. Workshops open to all and a grand gala match at the Salle Poirel round off the program.

Read moreThe Nancy Jazz Pulsations music festival in the fall moves to the Parc de la Pépinière for a Sunday, a family day with many free concerts. In September, Pépinière en Vert also becomes a large plant market where more than 90 exhibitors offer their products and crafts and the Emile Gallé prize is awarded to a literary work related to horticulture. Pépinière en Fête manages to make us forget the nostalgia of the summer period and to anticipate the arrival of pumpkins and other cucurbits.
