BOULANGERIE BOUZANQUET

Bakery
3.3/5
4 reviews

This Pâtisserie street bakery already enjoys an excellent reputation among the Nîmois, but it really deserves to be known beyond the circle - not so narrow! - its clientele. There is a lot of fun in a surprising queue, but it's because the bread is very good, very good cakes and famous pastries. During the period of kings, Bouzanquet did not always: its patties, of tradition, fluffy with souhaît, base in the mouth and attract the entire city. An excellent address, which is no longer to be proven.

BOULANGERIE ALLE

Bakery

Since Frederic Alle laid down its ovens rue Fresco, the life of this little street of the city centre has changed. The bread proposed is, without hesitation, one of the best in the city centre, in the purest French tradition of the crispy wand which, as soon as it hits, announces a well-started day. Viennoiseries are the same accabit, with a wide choice of fougasses to we, tomato or anchovies. Blanks, lightning and a fougasse of pure Mortes-Mortes also make the excellent reputation of this bakery. Traditional quiches and pizzas complete the proposals for salt. AU FOURNIL NIMOIS

Bakery

A little camouflaged in a small street that gives rise to the Revolution square, this harmless bakery at first glance applies the tradition of old-fashioned breads, that is, made in leaven with stone flour from a Moulin mill. Its characteristics? The taste, the colour a little bise and a good conservation, you will keep it carefree several days. The oven, which we see from the store, cooked a wide variety of breads, aux, ideal for foie gras, rye with lemon bark for fish, flax, complete, apples bread, apricots, nuts, walnut, paissou, intégrale bread, which stands out by its square shape, not bad for hot toast… At the same time, according to the season, more than types of bread go out of baker. They are placed on demand. And hot or cold pies are also worth a detour. An excellent address! Especially as car access is easy: You can stop it in duplicate without any problems.

LES PLAISIRS DE LA TABLE

Caviste

Ask a wine lover who is a wine merchant in town, he is very likely to give you the name of this shop, located at the very beginning of Racine Street, on the back of the Square of Art. A central island presents the novelties, promotions and many strokes of the house, especially the productions of local vineyards. On the shelves, discovering other regional areas; costières-de-nîmes, côteaux-du-languedoc abound. Not forgetting the côtes-du-rhône, for which the boss admits his preference. The love of infused wine in the veins, Véronique and Alain Bosc, are familiar with the other land of France. They will advise you on bourgognes or Bordeaux in a selection adapted to your budget, while large wines are on sale for the biggest awards. Free and friendly tasting. An indispensable address. LA CAVE D’ANAIS

Caviste

We feel that the former manager of the chain vineyard, Nicolas, located at 100 m, wanted to be pleased by opening his own cellar to offer the wines that are attractive to him. Result: a pleasant range, mainly oriented towards the slopes of the Languedoc. A few costières and organic wines at reasonable prices are also on the cardboard, in the centre of the small shop. On the shelves, we touch the more famous Languedoc crus, the whites of Alsace, some bottles of the South-west, and especially one of the finest collections of sorts of whiskies on Nîmes: Scottish, of course, but also Irish, American, Breton and even Japanese. With some luck, especially when the beautiful days come, you may fall on a tasting of one of the boss's discoveries. The location is probably more affordable than its competitors for the novice, and the offer also invites the discovery of wines from innovative wine processes.

DANIEL MARCON

Poultry

At Marcon, everything is good. The rime is poor, but the saying'hallier'is not idle, and Daniel Marcon has taken on the flambeau of an already meticulous daddy. Regions of great tradition of poultry farming find their place in this small outlet: Bresse, Landes. But even without this origin, Marcon guarantees an open-air poultry farming, which is fed to grain, which is already a guarantee of quality. Pigeons, quails and fowls complete the range of volatiles. At the charcuteries radius (to be tasted absolutely!), five raw hams offer a trip from Parma to Catalonia. A failing under any pretext: boudin and liver-fat. Or, as a summer pleasure, lemon chicken chicken. A delight.
