Walls and red armchairs arranged in a circle: L'Européen is the perfect setting for listening to artists in the field of French chanson, world music, jazz or rock. The 350-seat venue is a former café-concert dating back to 1872: Fragson, Yvette Guilbert and Edith Piaf all performed here. In the 1950s, operettas were performed here. It was also home to the Théâtre en Rond, run by directors and actors keen to return to the original Greek forms of theater - an aesthetic "opposed" to Italian-style theater.

The acoustics of this Art Deco room are very well-known. With four hundred places, it was built in 1930 on the plans of Auguste Perret, the architect who designed the theatre of the Champs-Elysées. It is used in the activities of the Ecole normale de Musique de Paris, but is also rented for the concert organisation. This is a plateau where many pianists take place. There are also the famous 12-hour concerts every Tuesday, Thursday and some Wednesday from October to May (off school holidays). These concerts are free to discover tomorrow's talents.

The Jazz Club Lionel Hampton at Hotel Méridien became Etoile in 2009 after renovation. Since 1975, he has hosted traditional jazz orchestras, blues and rhythm blues in a very comfortable environment of three hundred places. Batteur, the famous figure of the business show of his time, created it. These are legends such as Lionel Hampton, of course, Fats Domino, BB King, Cab Calloway, Oscar Peterson, Dr John, Screamin'Jay Hawkins, Allen All, Solomon Burke, Dizzy Gillespie… Claude Bolling, Christian Morin, Michel Leeb, Sacha Distel also played or sang. Note that Sunday, the brunch with trio jazz is very pleasant!

If you feel like having a karaoke session like no other, go to the Singing Studio. Inspired by a concept coming from the trendy Upper East Side neighborhoods in New York, Singing Studio first settled in Lille before moving to Paris. The brand operates several locations in the capital, and the one in Wagram, which the Petit Futé team visited, won us over! As well as a great restaurant, the place is a bar with an industrial decor, offering not only classics, but also a large number of cocktails made on the premises according to the rules of the art. For an evening with friends, or an afterwork (with tapas!), the place is all set. Located just a few hundred meters from the Champs-Elysées, it also has the good taste of not being besieged by tourists!

The Be Bop Bar is a small bar located in the heart of Batignolles, Paris. In a cosy, vintage atmosphere, it offers a wide choice of cocktails and beers, as well as pub snacks. The bar does not offer takeaway or delivery.
