In addition to an excellent welcome, you will discover by entering this bakery a piece of the history of Rouen. The building was built in 1735 and has housed a bakery since 1882! Christophe Maugard continues this tradition and maintains the oldest bakery in Rouen. Located in Rouen since 1994, this artisan - the Norman Quality Label holder - has made his mark among the finest. Originally known for its brioche and apple-based bread, this 2004 Mercury d’Or winner has since developed its expertise, perfected during its tour of France with the Compagnons. Every day, there are about fifteen special breads, freshly baked at all times, pure butter pastries made from A to Z, and original cakes like the chocolate pancake that comes out of this experienced artisan’s workshop…
