A true emblem of the city, the cannelé is a small ^16th-century pastry made from flour, eggs, milk, vanilla and rum. To taste this famous specialty, visit one of the many cannelé stores, where you'll always receive a warm welcome. You'll be able to choose between three sizes of cannelés, and discover other sweets such as apple and prune tourtière, or almond or chocolate bordelais.

Open every day from 8am to 8pm. Delivery possible (online store). Canelé gros : 0,75 € ; lunch : 0,55 € ; bite size : 0,45 €.

Owner's Message

The Canelé is a small cake flavored with rum and vanilla. Several batches per day and a production in the respect of the traditions delivers you very greedy Canelés, crunchy outside and soft inside, a delight!

Available in several sizes, the Canelé is suitable for both relaxing and festive moments. The Gros (60g) is ideal as a dessert and can be accompanied by a tasty custard or a red fruit coulis. The Lunch (30g) can be enjoyed as a sweet treat in a gourmet coffee. The Bouchée (17g) is perfect for cocktails.

For those with a sweet tooth, La Toque Cuivrée also offers tourtières, Basque cakes, caramels with Canelés chips and verrines of Canelés with rum syrup!

One of the cheaper canele places in the city but the quality does not drop off too much. They have three different sizes of Caneles: small, medium and large. Sometimes there is a line but this goes quite quickly. Employees were nice, ordering was easy, overall solid experience in getting caneles.
