Specialty coffee shops Bordeaux

Since 2014, the L'Alchimiste roasting workshop has been based on the right bank in Darwin, and is a delight for all the city's "caffeinophiles". The great vintages of coffee produced here can be discovered and tasted in the café-boutique set up next to the Intendance, where people come to enjoy a delicious coffee (espresso, cortado, cappuccino, filter coffee...) accompanied by a little sweetness... A place for exchange, advice and tasting, L'Alchimiste also offers a selection of coffee makers, machines and grinders for sale.

The first coffee shop to open in Bordeaux (back in 2014!), the longevity of this tiny cocoon is undoubtedly due to the quality of its specialty coffee. Lovers of latte art meet there to taste great vintages, roasted not far from there by Oven Heaven. Special mention should be made of the filter coffee, prepared by hand in Chemex coffee makers, the Rolls of the machines. Breakfast and brunch join the party, with excellent pancakes or pastries, and every week new sandwiches, burgers and dishes are offered at lunch.

Arthur Audibert lived in North America and Paris before returning to his hometown, having trained with some of the world's greatest master roasters. Six types of fine coffee are roasted on site: mochas, red bourbon, yellow varieties, blends and - sacrilege - decaffeinated. The owner particularly appreciates gentle roasting and tasting methods.
