RUE SAINTE-CATHERINE
Go there and contact
It's impossible to visit Bordeaux without going up Rue Sainte-Catherine at least once, from Place de la Victoire
Over a kilometer long, the famous Rue Sainte-Catherine crosses the heart of Bordeaux between Place de la Comédie and Place de la Victoire. Entirely pedestrianized, it is one of Europe's longest shopping streets. It's punctuated by a string of big-name stores, local boutiques, bars and fast-food restaurants. Very busy, especially at weekends, it also offers a fine overview of Bordeaux architecture, with its elegant facades and historic buildings. A stroll down Rue Sainte-Catherine is a combination of shopping, heritage... and crowds. Take a look at the Galerie Bordelaise, listed as a historic monument since 1975.
