Ideal hotel with contemporary rooms with a terrace and a restaurant.
Thanks to its perfect location near the railway station, in the new business district, the Golden Tulip Hotel is the ideal place to stay, share and relax. The rooms are spacious, contemporary and perfectly equipped for both families and business people. It is very pleasant to have a drink on the terrace in the summertime, but also to have lunch or dinner in the Tulipe restaurant. The restaurant specialises in French cuisine.

The room was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay. Located very close to the railway station, but a little way out of town.

Het hotel pretendeert 4 sterren. Maar dat was in onze beleving het niet waard. Het personeel was vriendelijk maar de faciliteiten van het hotel waren beneden peil. Vooral dat de airconditioning nergens werkte was toch wel een rode vlag. Een aantal keer bij de receptie geweest dat de airconditioning op de kamer niet werkte had niet het gewenste effect. Uiteindelijk maar van kamer verwisseld na 2 dagen zwetend in bed te hebben gelegen. De nieuwe kamer was iets koeler maar ook daar werkte de airconditioning niet. De kamer en de bedden zelf zijn prima. Kamer is groot genoeg en het bed lekker breed en had voor mij de juiste hardheid maar voor mijn vrouw iets te hard. Ontbijt is prima. Eén keer bij het restaurant gedineerd. De gerechten zijn niet bijzonder. De chef had veel moeite om iets aan een gerecht aan te passen omdat we er geen vis in wilde. Ze waren mij ook een beetje te veel gekunsteld. Heel veel extra liflafjes. Hou het simpel!

The location is good for the railway station, but the area itself is a bit bleak with few places to eat nearby unless you head back to the station. We walked past the hotel a couple of times as we couldn’t find it due to there being no signage outside whatsoever. The room was clean and a good size but quite dark even during the day as there was not enough lights. Also the safe didn’t work. Breakfast was fine for a small city hotel with hot food, cheese, hams, cereals, fruit, breads and cakes etc. We had one evening meal there which was very good indeed. The weather was extremely hot and unfortunately the air conditioning really struggled to cope. Overall we would say this is a reasonable 3star hotel but we wouldn’t stay there again due to its location.
