Romantic rooms and family suites in a hotel in Bordeaux offering a wine cellar and tapas.

In the heart of Bordeaux, located in the historic centre of the Pey-Berland district, Grabriella and Gilles' guest rooms are full of charm. Nestled in a former 19th century hotel with a beautiful white stone façade, the 3 rooms and 2 parental suites, which welcome families, are spacious and bright. The decoration is refined, in baroque style and with furniture found in antique shops. Approved wine merchants, the owners offer tastings of great wines with regional tapas (foie gras, cheese...).

I had a wonderful stay at Au Coeur de Bordeaux B&B. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Saint Catharines Road and the cathedral. My room was comfortable, clean, and featured air conditioning and a lovely little balcony.

The highlight of my stay was the lady who runs the B&B. She was sweet, welcoming, and provided great information about the area. Breakfast was delightful with freshly baked croissants, homemade yoghurt, and great coffee.

I highly recommend Au Coeur de Bordeaux B&B for its prime location, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional hospitality.

Charmant B&B, très bon accueil, chambre et salle de douche spacieuses et propres.
Très bien situé, petite rue calme à 2 pas du centre ville.

Location is good but forget the rest. This place is completely over rated(also mentioned by another reviewer) . The greeting was not welcoming. Place lacks any friendliness and is no way like a B and B in England or Ireland. Stairs are a nightmare for carrying suitcases. Our room was inferior, the bed creaked every time you moved in bed. The bathroom is dark and entry/exit to shower is risky. Basin is like a garden trough with no space to put things. Breakfast was awful. Choice of cornflakes or chocolate flakes, juice super sweet and croissants stale and more like bread. Fruit is tinned and cheese and ham inferior quality. Would never recommend this soleless and unfriendly place

My fiancée and myself took a European vacation ending in Bordeaux. We wanted to visit somewhere in France that was different from Paris, smaller and the draw of wine and food was a major plus. We found Au Coeur de Bordeaux B&B on expedia and it looked perfect for us. The B&B is easily accessible from airport or train station via either tram or bus. The location is perfect, it’s located on a small side street very near the city center with a 10 minute walk to shops, major attractions such as the Catherdral & the River front - but any direction you turn there are places to eat or shop or drink. Our room on the second floor was quintessentially French (to me an American) with double door terrace, big mirrors, beautiful details. The room was spacious & very clean with refreshments available which are an extra charge. Breakfast was provided every morning in the main floor lobby with pastries, crepes and drinks. In general it was very quiet- maybe two or three other couples were there at once. The service was great and I was able to keep in touch with the B&B wonders/staff via WhatsApp which was extremely helpful- they were able to communicate with me in English and keep me informed on my trip which made me feel comfortable & welcome. Overall we enjoyed our trip to Bordeaux and this B&B. I would recommend it to couples who are interested in a quiet, romantic setting with a nice room & breakfast included. Thanks!

A beautiful, French style boutique in the centre of Bordeaux. We found the location fantastic and walked everywhere, the majority of sights/shops places of interest are within a 10/15 minute walk to b&b. Leticia is very friendly and helpful, showing us lots of great places of interest and recommending good food places. The lady serving breakfast is also very friendly too. The rooms are beautifully decorated with quirky pictures, ornaments and sweet little balcony with French doors. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was modern with fantastic large shower. A good selection in mini bar and reasonably priced. Yes the spiral stairs are windy and go up to about 4 floors I think, but don't moan about the staircase, if you want a lift go to a large commercialised hotel instead! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
