DOMAINE BUTIN
The estate comprises 5.5 ha, 4 of which are planted with Chardonnay and Savagnin, including a parcel of Château-Chalon. Philippe Butin, who has run the estate since 1980, has handed over the pruning shears to his son Kevin and Aloïs, two passionate enthusiasts. The white Savagnin is matured in 228-litre barrels, and the yellow wines impress even the most demanding tasters. Over the years, this estate has also built up a fine reputation for its reds, which regularly win deserved awards, and the transfer of ownership has not changed this. We warmly recommend it!

One often speak Philippe Butin for its Château-Chalon: it is true that its yellow wines, at the end 6 years and 3 months aged in oak, are characterised by a large delicacy, rare elegance...
But we drink more regularly crémant sound: it is our favourite aperitif! Let us stress that, while being very affordable price, it is remarkable, clearly, very little typical, with fine bubbles give it an air.
For a few years, Philippe Butin has made to the choice for its red, to produce pure grape varieties, Pinot, Poulsard and Trousseau. Here too, we can only recommend to make a detour for its Trousseau, especially: the year 2009, light and fine, is fruity, with an evocation of pepper and red and black fruit flavours. a pure wonder!
