It is there that the last renowned communal distillery with its stills and centenary tuns - probably the most prestigious heritage of the country of Absinthe - are found. Founded in 1890 by Armand Guy, it produces top quality items and offers an instructive visit inside. The secrets of manufacturing are preserved for an exact match with the flavours of the past. Whether you are alone or accompanied, give in to the anise vapours of the "Pont" of spirits made from Gentian and other spirits with fir buds! You will learn a lot about absinthe, the manufacturing of the Pont and, above all, you can taste everything in order to visit the whole region in a pleasant way. Note that if you have trouble finding the Pont or absinthe once at home, you can order some by contacting the distillery!

François-Xavier Vitrac oversees this Haut-Doubs institution. 4 generations of know-how have created famous beverages such as the fir bud liqueur or the famous Pontarlier-Anis with green anise. Here again, absinthe is now also available as a liqueur. New products include Sapont, a Pontarlier with fir buds, and a book. And the taster's panoply of eaux-de-vie, cocktails and semi-confit fruits. The Distillerie has been awarded the "Entreprise du patrimoine vivant" (Living Heritage Company) distinction.

Here, everything is in bulk, in the good sense of the word. This elegant, functional space is dedicated exclusively to organic products. No packaging, just bring your own, and we'll help you out if you run out of containers. The emphasis is on the shortest possible supply chain. The range of products on offer includes groceries, natural sourdough bread, fruit and vegetables, cleaning products, body care products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (in moderation). Jars and bottles are consigned. Roasted coffee, herbal teas and teas offer a wide range of aromas. Superb welcome.

Marcel Petite's Comté is THE star of the region, but it's also exported internationally, spreading its finesse and subtlety far and wide. In 1966, Marcel Petite had the idea of aging Comté in the former military fort of Saint-Antoine. He refined the technique and adapted to the temperature and humidity of the site, building a veritable underground cathedral for Comtois cheese. Other Comtois cheeses are of course also available from this creamery, which is a must-stop on your visit to Pontarlier.

Behind this store is an interesting concept: a shop-school resulting from an educational partnership between local craftsmen and producers and students and apprentices from a nearby high school. The aim of this project is to develop the sales professions towards a more local orientation, promoting short circuits. The products offered come from establishments in the Haut-Doubs or the Jura: distillery, brewery, fruit farm, fish farm, orchard... A choice of quality products according to the seasons: bread, cheese, bison meat, honey, ice cream...

Like its Homologue counterpart, the Barthod boutique offers wines from large French varieties and foreign vineyards. There are also gourmet products from our regional soils, and of course you will enjoy tasting them with a good wine!

This new boutique offers a wide range of farmhouse cheeses, charcuterie and cured meats. It's also a cheese bar, where you can sample a vast selection of products. We also offer delicious fondues, quality gift boxes and regional products. The welcome is very friendly, the advice is judicious and it's all very pleasant. Marc Verdant is passionate about what he does. Creative too, with almost monumental pieces made from a variety of chocolates. Quality is the order of the day, which is only logical given the high standards imposed on each gourmet creation. There are two sales outlets in Pontarlier, this one in the center of town and a showroom in the Planchettes area. It must be admitted that the young brewer has a "good face" which is rather cheerful. The Haut-Doubiste from Pontarlier claims to brew beers that are sparkling with joy and that appeal to the eye as well as the palate. He prepares them with 100% organic barley. 5 regular references are available for sale, in 33 cl or even in casks. He will even convince you to try a new dessert called "Bièramistu"!
