Mandeure has a population of around 5,500. The commune is home to the remains of a major Gallo-Roman archaeological site, "l'antique cité de Mandeure", which bears witness to the town's importance during the Roman Empire. Remains of a theater, a temple, an aqueduct and a fortified enclosure can be admired here. The church of Saint-Martin, built in the 16th century in the flamboyant Gothic style, boasts magnificent stained-glass windows and a fine collection of statues and paintings. The commune boasts a pleasant living environment, with many green spaces. Many outdoor activities are available in the surrounding area.
