Formerly Belval-sous-Hans, this "beautiful valley" in the south of the Argonne is famous for its ponds, an area classified as a nature reserve covering 203 hectares and home to an impressive biodiversity. The richness of its fauna and flora make it a dreamed-for observation and exploration ground for all nature lovers. In the village of Belval-en-Argonne, the church of Notre-Dame also has some remarkable rooms: two glass canopies dating from the early 16th century and a bronze bell dating from 1520, classified as a historical monument in 1911.
