Visited in the thirties by artists from Montparnasse, this aubois village is returning today with its old vocation. Thanks to the Franck-Tenot foundation, Marnay-sur-Seine has an international art centre (Camac). His creator, co-patron of the legendary show Hi les amis, former President of Europe 1, creator of Europe 2, wanted to establish a place inhabited by an environment conducive to creation, restoring the creative spirit of the thirties and imposing on the banks of the Seine a cultural bastion. For this purpose, three restored buildings, including a th-century priory, are ready to accommodate a dozen residents for one or more month stays for seminars and seminars. The Franck-Tenot Foundation is also the origin of the first botanical garden in Champagne-Ardenne. All the plants in Marnay form a real botanical complex, so the promenade extends over 4 000 m 2. The course, playful, allows to understand the evolution of plants and the rules of classification to the ornamental garden with its rare essences and the staging of gardeners. A not to be missed.
