Read moreChâteau Gaillard is a royal estate located in Amboise, in the Loire Valley. Built in 1496 by Charles VIII, the château is a true jewel of the French Renaissance. After five years of restoration, it has opened its doors to the public and now offers a unique experience. The château is surrounded by magnificent gardens, bearing witness to the earliest gardens of the French Renaissance. Inside, visitors can admire ornate stained-glass windows and finely carved fireplaces. Luxuriously furnished in period style, the château offers a warm, cosy atmosphere, transporting visitors back to the 16th century. The estate also has a rich history, having been home to kings such as Charles VIII, Louis XII and François I. It has also been the scene of many historic events.
