Royal castle of Renaissance style which welcomed the greatest men of the history of which Louis XII, admirable decoration and gardens.

This magnificent chateau, built in 1496 by King Charles VIII, has seen some of the greatest figures in French history pass through its doors. This jewel of Renaissance architecture captivates not only by its buildings and refined interiors, but also by its vast gardens, created on the initiative of master gardener Dom Pacello. It was here that he introduced France's first orange trees. Stroll along the wooded paths and discover the exotic richness of the place.

Découverte d'un château oublié! Beau travail de restauration et de sauvetage d'un château voué à la disparition dans la nature qui avait repris ses "droits". Trés bon accueil d'une passionnée!

Une très belle découverte!
Un château en encore méconnu (juste à côté du Clos Lucé). Un jardin charmant, un cabinet des curiosités très intéressant, une très belle visite loin de la foule. Nous avons terminé la visite par une glaceà l'orange (pour rester dans le thème de l'orangerie du chateau ) au salon de thé, très agreable

Une belle découverte pour ce château qui n'a rien à envier au château d'Amboise. Très belle décoration et un jardin raffiné. A découvrir absolument même en famille. Un feu de cheminée nous a accueillis dans le salon.
Avec un peu de chance, vous pourrez croiser le propriétaire des lieux.

Situé à côté d'AMBOISE, ce château de la Renaissance n'offre rien d'exceptionnel en soi. Ses curiosités résident dans sa collection de vitraux polychromes soufflés à la bouche, son orangeraie avec 160 variétés d'agrumes et sa boulangerie troglodyte.
