The restaurant of the hotel of the same name, located inside the fortifications of Dalt Vila, in the front line, is a recommendable option - but not cheap! - for those who want to enjoy the old town in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It serves a very good Mediterranean cuisine, based on meat and fish. The breakfasts are excellent. In the morning, at noon and in the evening, you will appreciate the cosy and intimate atmosphere, in the pretty service room and from the large terrace with a view of the small park opposite. Very friendly service.

This restaurant is a must for all gourmets. Founded in 1969, it offers a selection of typical island dishes, made from local products. Combining finesse and creativity, the chef invites you to a fabulous tasting in a rustic and warm decor. The restaurant has 3 rooms and its major asset is, of course, its "bodega", open to the public, where you can choose, among a variety of 200 wines, the one that will best accompany your gastronomic journey. Reservations are essential.

The Formentera, opened in 1939 by a local - Joan Tur Ramis - was once frequented by the fishermen of the city because located in front of the marina, the same family held this foundation until 2011, when the historic hostel has been renovated. The decor is still very rustic and the cuisine is as traditional as ever, with superb arroces and paellas as the star dishes. Fish and meat, small vegetables and aïoli, all served on the terrace, facing the passers-by. Typical, but not necessarily cheap...

El Rais restaurant invites you to an inventive gastronomic experience in Port de Maó! This new address is the brainchild of the owners of the Ses Forquilles restaurant. The restaurant specializes in rice-based dishes, hence the name "El Rais", a play on the word "rice". The original, gourmet tapas to share make an excellent introduction. The proportions are small, but the flavors are there! A fine wine list.

La Cayena is the place to be if you are a traveller. Pabo, Mónica and their grandchildren, Nico and Martín, have travelled around the world and brought back various experiences and influences, including culinary ones. For more than ten years, the restaurant La Cayena has been offering a culinary journey to the four corners of the world: Mediterranean salads, Thai woks, Japanese tempura, Italian and Moroccan specialities, Tex-Mex, Indian or Pakistani cuisine... Made with local products, they are served on the terrace and prepared with love!

Opposite the fish market - in other words, right in the center of town - this restaurant is run by a friendly couple from Barcelona, offering creative tapas made from fresh, seasonal produce. Everything is served in small, tasty portions to share: Russian salad, braves à l'aïoli, knife-cut tartare, cooked fish and other seafood... it's all very good! Don't hesitate to ask for advice when choosing your wine, as the owner is an enthusiast. Perfect for a quick bite or a serious dinner party.

This restaurant was one of the first to open in Cala Galdana. It enjoys a good reputation for its Menorcan cuisine. We come here to eat fresh fish in a family atmosphere. The daily menus (classic and especial) include a starter, main course and dessert. On the à la carte menu, you'll have to choose from the many tapas on offer(calamar a l'andalusa, pop a la gallega, patates braves, garlic shrimp, etc.) before turning your attention to the dozen or so proposals forarrossos and paellas to share.

Right in the heart of Maó, the Mercat des Peix (Fish Market) is an institution. Not only has it always been the place to go for fish and seafood shopping, but over time it has also become a gourmet meeting place, with a string of small restaurants facing the fish stalls. Choose from a variety of specialties, then take your tray and sit down in the small, picturesque courtyard to feast in a cosmopolitan, seafaring atmosphere. Stopover recommended.

You can have lunch in this old renovated mill - the Molí des Racó - which has a very original terrace on the top. It serves traditional cuisine in generous portions. The menu includes delicious fried mallorquí, as well as classic Menorcan soups, grilled fish and snails(cargols), one of the house specialities. This is a restaurant with a long tradition, well known to all Menorcans. Very pleasant service. A recommended stopover to get to know the real Menorca a little better.

A place as small as it is central, as friendly as it is economical! In Fornells, Mar del Bies will be the salvation of those on a budget who don't want to stuff just anything into their cone. Here, ingredients are carefully selected (fruit, vegetables, breads, meats and fish) before being skilfully transformed into breakfast, lunch or dinner. From café-croissant-tartine to bikini (typical Spanish hot club sandwich) de sobrasada, as well as more elaborate dishes... All at low prices! We also love the music and surf atmosphere.

An elegant address, specializing in Iberian sea food. The decor itself is an invitation to escape to the sea, supported by soft jazz notes in the background, while the chef Pedro Tur is busy in the kitchen. A true guardian of the island's culinary traditions, he will be happy to guide you through the many proposals on the menu: arroces (rice) and fideuas (noodles), bullit de peix or borrida de ratjada... All these solid dishes can be accompanied by very good wines. We recommend the main dish of the place: Sa Nansa. Bona apetit!

El Soleado offers an excellent French cuisine inspired by Provence, but also with a Mediterranean fusion: thyme roasted rack of lamb, carpaccio speciality and skillfully cooked fish, all to be accompanied by a good glass of chilled rosé wine. A pleasant setting far from the crowds with a superb terrace by the sea, run by Aline and Philippe, a nice couple from Lyon. Perfect for a romantic meal or a drink at sunset time. A real little Provencal stopover under the Ibiza sun.

It's best to book your table, as the place is small: La Oliva has only a few tables set up on a narrow street in the old town. The setting is quite charming, which justifies the rather high prices. On the food side, there are tasty Provençal-inspired dishes, with an emphasis on fish and local produce: zucchini carpaccio with grilled Ibizan almonds; sesame-crusted salmon, sautéed vegetables with coconut, teriyaki; beef fillet, truffle juice; not to mention the array of desserts.

This good table run by an Argentinean, although touristy and a bit expensive, is very pleasant to sip a cocktail with some international tapas (guacamole, spring rolls, red tuna tataki, scallops, falafels with camembert heart, spicy tomato soup, vegetable gyosas) facing the harbour or to taste the excellent specialities on the menu, such as ceviches, mussels, fishes and of course, Argentina obliges, excellent grilled meats Eclectic decor very nice!

Sa Tafona de Son Fang is an old rural house converted into a restaurant. Here, generosity and simplicity are the key words: you can enjoy solid portions of fish and meat (beware: the half portion is already very nourishing) accompanied by very good vegetables soberly prepared. The terrace is framed by a serene and bucolic countryside, and the staff is very welcoming. At nightfall, the play of light on the façade of the old building is of the best effect.

With its giant lobster overhanging the roof, the Capri is a classic of the island, one of those popular addresses where locals and travellers mix. The cuisine is typically Mediterranean and based on the tradition of the fishermen who are still very present in Formentera. On the large illuminated terrace you can enjoy the chef's dishes: parillada, calamari a la planxa and some tasty meat dishes like duck breast or solomillo. The property manages the small hostel located in the same structure.

At the foot of the Carthusian monastery, this bakery-café has been open for a century now (founded in 1920) and is the ideal place to eat a small pastry but also some tapas, or simply to refresh yourself with a beer or a pressed orange juice. It's relaxing and calm in the shadow of the imposing monastery. The most curious will taste here the coca de patata, a typical sweet bread of the city elaborated from potato, egg and sugar.

Es Bruc has been a benchmark for over 50 years. Situated at the start of Sant Tomàs beach in a privileged location, it enjoys spectacular views over the islet of Binicodrell. Starting point or return point for excursions to Binigaus and Cala Escorxada. On the Es Bruc terrace, you can enjoy hearty salads, typical Menorcan meats and specialities based on fresh fish of the day, all at a good price. The plates are generous. Lunchtime queues can be long in July and August, so remember to be seated before 1pm.

You will appreciate its beautiful garden planted with cactus and fig trees, its large covered terraces and its tasty Mediterranean and international cuisine. For example, you can start your meal with a guacamole tartar with scampi or a delicious zucchini gratin. Lamb, pork with apples, fondue bourguignonne, cod confit or salmon with honey en papillote will make a good main course. Sorbets and chocolate mousse for dessert. The restaurant is located on the road leading to the plateau of La Mola.

Nice café with a spectacular view of the Peix pond. Very good for a hearty breakfast, a brunch at noon, a milkshake in the afternoon or a drink in the evening. On the menu, salads, a wide choice of pizzas (classic or special), fresh pasta (we recommend the dish of Chitarrine con bogavante, salsa de tomate cherry y albahaca fresca or the Spaghetti con almejas), fish and meat. And for those who are crazy about pizza, they even offer a Nutella pizza for dessert. Prices are quite high, as everywhere.

This cafeteria, in the city centre, offers many tapas, and also breakfast. Appreciated by the Ibizencos who find themselves on the terrace still packed. International atmosphere.

Tapas card, some salads and pizzas. The prices may be somewhat exaggerated, but the terrace of this restaurant is located in a privileged location, opposite the Caixa foundation and at the foot of the steps at the Plaza Mayor. Pintxos (slices) of sobrasada, eggplant or cheese are very good (7,50 € 5).

Open every day in the afternoon and evening except on Wednesday evening. Map in French. About 20 € the meal. Proposes a variety of dishes: Pizza, pasta, fish, meat. Everything is prepared on request, hence a little longer service. The plates are balanced, the vegetables are fresh and the digestive is offered by the house.

Sandwiches, tapas, pizza or à la carte between 15 and 18 €.

Large terrace on the harbour. Typical dishes and crustaceans, paëllas, grilled fish, casserole and llagosta. Menu every lunchtime.

Sa Caleta is a small restaurant, with a beautiful terrace right on the beach of the same name. Specializing in fresh fish, you can try a caldereta or the traditional bullit de peix. The desserts, all homemade, will delight the most gourmet. Marine atmosphere in the restaurant room, but also a chill-out area arranged under the pine trees, very pleasant to have a drink. Massage service and concerts on Thursday evenings in summer. This is one of the only beach restaurants that remains open all year round.

Map in French. You can eat only a salad and pasta, but it would be a pity not to taste fish. Take 30 € and more if you ask for crustaceans. The best restaurant at the moment. Everything is good!

However, if the prospect of finding you in the middle of the tourist doesn't seem to be exciting, let us dine on the terrace of one of the port's restaurants. From 13 to 15 € per person, a little more for seafood. Modest budgets or small appetites would be relaxing on the countless tapas bars in the harbour area, which is busy at night.

Sit in the small room at the ceiling of beams and stone walls or on the shaded terrace in the pedestrian street to test the producer toulon oli, the speciality of the house, served with grilled vegetables.

Breakfast, sandwich (4 €), salad (from 7,5 € to 10,50 €), tables of cheese, blocks, salmon (12 € to 13 €), tapas. Ice and sorbets. Air conditioned room or a pleasant terrace on the central square of Explanada.

On the marina, very nice restaurant with beautiful wrought iron tables. The service is fast and high quality. Cooking with olive oil. Steak, duck magret, sea bream, lobster… A welcome aperitif is available on presentation of the guide.

Rustic ambiance in a small restaurant without sea view, serving specialities that you must order in advance.

You will dine in a great patio, surrounded by plants and about other tables. Excellent service and service but a little slow service.

International cuisine. Located at the foot of the Hotel Tahiti, for dinner facing the sea, on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

Open from Friday to Monday from 18 am to 22 pm and on Wednesdays and Thursdays by application for a minimum group of 6 people. The menus range from 60 to 143 €.

A choice of 51 dishes. The only quality Thai restaurant on the island. Here you will enjoy the «real» Thai cuisine in an applied decor.

Map in French. Wide choice of pizzas (from 6,50 € to 12,90 €), paella (14,50 €), fish (14,20 € to 19,90 €)… Terrace is calm and shaded, very pleasant service. Good address.

On the cala of the same name. A snack bar specializing in paëllas, fresh fish and grilled meats.

Good value for money and good value for money.

Sandwiches, coffee, tea, cakes and some tapas at reasonable prices. The hotel was very close to the city centre and the hotel was very close to the train station and the train station.

The atmosphere is quiet and only the reeds and sand are separated from the water. Tapas (from 3 €), pasta flat (at 5 €), squid (10 €), tender (15 €).

Es Cap Roig is one of Menorca's favorite restaurants to enjoy - after a starter of gaspatxo, shrimp cocktail or fisherman's salad - good fresh fish facing the sea, but also to feast on a solid llagostí menorquí (langoustine), one of the island's specialties. There's also a selection of braised meats and paella. The place is packed all summer long. In fact, the restaurant's location offers one of Menorca's finest views. As you can see, advance reservations are essential.

Fresh fruit juice pressed before you, 100% natural, without preservatives or colouring. Bananas, apples, kiwi, pineapple, coconut, mango, watermelon…

Located on the top of the peninsula, it is the one with the most beautiful view. Breakfast can be served on the terrace, which agréablement the beach.

For those nostalgic for French pastry, you will find here French specialities: croissants, chocolate bread, which is called Neapolitan. But also, of course, the inescapable ensaimadas, nature or cream.

You'll eat croissants, sandwiches… That's where you're going to go out of the box. You will cross the groups that finish their evening and those who take a coffee before going to work.

Many addresses on Palma, not to fall on one of them, among others those mentioned here.

In a small parallel street in Spanish square. Creative, refined and quality cuisine. Exhibition of works by local artists.

Small restaurant with a lovely terrace, although it is situated on the road. A large choice of salads (from 7 € to 11 €), but mainly from fish and meat cooked to plancha. The daily menu is 11 € and includes an entrance, a dish and a dessert with water or wine. The special menu is 21 €, and lets you choose from a vast proposal of fish, seafood and meat, all unappetising.

On the sea side, for a pizza between 5 and 8 €.

As his name does not indicate, it is above all a pizzeria. With no charm, this restaurant has the advantage of being very well placed. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
