Very popular with the locals, this is one of the best restaurants in Ciutadella, with a long queue of customers in the summer (we highly recommend taking a seat around 8pm at the latest to avoid the wait). Once you are settled, you will enjoy a typical Menorcan gastronomic experience, based on products brought back every day from the sea by the Rosa Santa, the restaurant's fishing boat.

Read moreEs Ventall is a restaurant opened in 1982 by the Bonet family, offering ibicenca and Mediterranean cuisine that has nothing more to prove, as the large proportion of attic premises is proof. Traditional recipes such as bullit de peix, sofrit Pagés and also some creative dishes prepared by the son of the owners who became the chef emeritus, Jose Miguel Bonet Cardona. Some of his creations include the tartar of espardenyes (sea cucumber) with orange or the salad of mollejas (sweetbreads) and caramelised chicken.

If the owner Nicolas is a fine sommelier who has worked in excellent addresses in Paris and New York, "French" cannot sum up the subtlety of the cuisine served here. The new chef, Begoña Arizmendi, is skilfully at work in her open kitchen, combining skills from the four corners of the world with ingredients full of freshness: ceviche, turbot meunière, duck confit... The wine pairing is impeccable.

There is a great atmosphere in the evening, with a joyful mix of village grandfathers and young people from all over Europe. In the restaurant part, they serve à la carte meals, with good fish. Very good value for money. You can eat everything here, especially grilled fish. It is also a good place to have breakfast. Not to be missed for the nostalgic of the sixties..

The chef, Jérome Palayer, prepares a refined cuisine that gives pride of place to seafood, but also offers grilled meats (filet mignon and bavette à l'échalote) and informal dishes, such as a selection of six burgers or large salads. The place is frankly pleasant, with a chill-out style decoration: we could spend the whole day there! Also perfect for a drink.
