Archaeology handicrafts and science and technology sites to visit Andalusia

This is the little jewel of Puente Genil, not to be missed. The excavations exhumed a Roman villa from the th century BC to the fourth after I.C., and we can admire a collection of mosaic frescoes, both geometric and figurative (including three devoted to the life of Leading). These are particularly impressive, but beyond it is the entire life of a Roman city that can be apprehended during the proposed didactic circuit. From mid-June to the end of September, the evening starting at 20 a. m., the venue hosts «nights» offering many activities: théâtralisées visits, piano or poetry recitals, concerts, conferences or wine tastings… Roman.

During the visit of the archaeological site, the curious can walk in a neighbourhood of the city erected under Hadrian, and continue its journey in the city centre of Santiponce where the theatre and the minor thermal baths stand. 

During the visit of the Rock, a stop will be made to the Singes Den des Singes (Ape's Den or Ravin des Singes) to greet magots, macaques macaques brought by the Moors in the th century. The only monkeys in Europe living in freedom, and perhaps the oldest residents of Gibraltar, are behind a popular proverb that predicts the end of the British concession on the day the primates disappear from the Rock. Some are however chapardeurs and/or aggressive.

12 km east of Málaga, the Treasury Cave is the only maritime cave in Europe that can be visited. Cave paintings of animals and remnants of ceramics dating from Neolithic have been found. One legend states that the cave, authenticated as a former prehistoric sanctuary of the lunar goddess Noctiluce, contained a buried treasure in the th century.

This cellar, founded in 1897, has the particularity of also including a art gallery and a stud-horses of pure race horses in the central patio. here you will discover very beautiful specimens.

The visit is accompanied by a pleasant wine tasting and vinegar accompanied by montagnardes and salads.

A bodega which, since 1800, date of its creation, has kept a very artisan character.
