Inaugurated in 1923, this neoclassical, Second Empire-style theater is the setting for shows (flamenco, plays, dance...) organized by the municipality or the Diputación Provincial.

Founded in 1971 as the Reina Mora, it changed its name when it reopened in August 2001 to reflect the name of the neighborhood in which it is located. Unlike many others, this quality flamenco cabaret tablao is not located in a cave, as others are, but near Granada's famous San Cristobal belvedere. In a typical setting with a beautiful stage, the colorful and lively shows attract groups of tourists and a few individuals. Music, song and dance, it's all very well put together. Since 1975, this tablao welcomes guests in the intimate setting of a residence in Seville of the 18th century to offer a dance show flamenca to them. Note the superb decor recreating the golden age, then the lights go out and a dozen artists (men and women) follow one another on a small raised stage. Musicians, dancers, singers exercise their art under a subdued lighting sometimes, sometimes ultra-powerful. This is one of the most magical places in Granada and has become a classic in the city. Granada has no shortage of flamenco venues, but one of the most notable is the cueva de Los Tarantos, which is listed as a historical institution. Above the convent of Santa Calina, in the Albaicín, this tavern with an excellent terrace overlooking the Alhambra prepares Granada and Andalusia cuisine based on jamón y queso and serves good wine. Dedicated to the son of the country who created the paso doble malagueño, this peña is the oldest in the city and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. Since that time, when flamenco was not necessarily welcome, it has always endeavored to present both established figures and young artists in the making.
