Wisconsin : Discover

Wisconsin is, of course, Milwaukee, artsy with its craft breweries and industrial architecture converted into trendy spots. But it's also about Madison, the capital, charming and dynamic, often ranked among the country's most livable cities. Boasting a large student population, it reflects the state's relaxed, progressive lifestyle. Wisconsin is also America's cheese capital: more than 26% of the nation's production comes from here. Farms, cheese curd markets and pastures populated by spotted cows are all part of the scenery. The nickname "Cheese State", or "America's Dairyland", is no exaggeration. The region along Lake Michigan is very picturesque, with its limestone cliffs. The Door County peninsula is often compared to Cape Cod for its coves and lighthouses. Wisconsin is an authentic state, halfway between agricultural traditions and the good life.
