While Charles Aznavour is on the soundtrack, the sweet smell of the pancake batter cooking tickles our nostrils.

A Belgian café that is a great stop before or after your visit to the Yale campus, as it's just a short walk from the university. The café serves waffles, of course, but also hearty sandwiches, salads and a variety of breakfast dishes, all in a clean and modern setting. The smoothies and juices, made right before our eyes, are delicious and full of vitamins. The place is very popular with university students, who meet there after classes.

The menu, which is displayed behind the counter where you can order before settling in, is very varied and offers salads, sandwiches, Mexican dishes, quiches and, more original, plates of roasted organic vegetables. The whole is very healthy, so don't hesitate to treat yourself to a huge slice of cake or a cupcake covered with a thick layer of icing for dessert.
