Starting from the beach, go to Maria Katourna, a Greek who lives near the beach and pass your order for dinner: Bouillabaisse, lobster… If you take the tracks leading from Santa Maria to Ampelas then to Marmara, you will discover a multitude of small little coves all the prettier and still deserted.

Traditional furniture, jewelry and costumes, dishes, carpets. We visit the large living room and the two bedrooms for a dive over time. For example, you will find explanations for Mykonian Women's Festival: even the botanist Pitton of Tournefort, King of the Sun King, was impressed by their adornment when he stopped in Mykonos in 1700.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Read moreThe collections of the Archaeological Museum are on display in a beautiful neoclassical villa in Plaka's central square. The most interesting section concerns the objects discovered on the prehistoric site of Filakopi. You will see in particular beautiful marble statuettes, typical of Cycladic art from the 4th to 2nd millennia BC. The Venus de Milo is represented by a pale copy... the original being in Paris. Failing to see the Venus de Milo, the Lady of Filakopi (1200 BC) is considered the centrepiece of the place.

BEACHES
Read moreBeyond the pebble beach of the port, you can easily reach on foot the five beaches of the surroundings.
Towards the north, on the other side of the port, Vardia is a pretty bay, one of the longest on the island, but it is very exposed to the wind so avoid meltemi days. It is accessible by a staircase and you will find small pebbles and some rare trees. Towards the south, three beaches follow one another: Latinaki, Vitsentsou and Pountaki. Prefer Vitsentsou for the clear view towards the open sea, its sandy beach little visited and its deep water.
