The originality ? No fish or seafood... If you like meat dishes, come to the table, it will be a treat! Giovanni Trevisan has seen some of the world's most famous people come to enjoy his refined dishes, washed down with an impressive selection of regional wines (nearly 250 labels). From Lady Di to Hugo Boss, from actors Hugh Grant to Tom Cruise, they all enjoyed themselves at the former director of Trussardi's Cafeteria at La Scala in Milan. Along a quiet canal in Dorsoduro, a restaurant with a quirky and intimate atmosphere that suits the neighborhood. On small tables close to each other, an experienced kitchen team will serve you the specialties of Venice with balance and know-how. The seafood risotto is impeccable, the spaghetti with lobster generous and the cuttlefish with polenta tasty. All of this is complemented by a selection of reasonably priced wines. Chocolate cake and tiramisù for dessert. In summer, the restaurant opens up more to the outside world.

The culinary offering at this stylish trattoria just outside the city walls is nothing short of original, with checkered tablecloths and a terrace overlooking the castle setting the tone. Indeed, truffle ravioli and bigoli with pistachio and red tuna vie for first place on the menu. However, more classic Venetian specialties such as baccalà mantecato and polenta are not absent. Desserts include tiramisù and strawberry mille-feuille.

A rather rare address in Cortina, and above all a practical and inexpensive stop for a snack in the heart of the resort. In this unpretentious and well-located shop, pizzas are prepared to take away, even if, in summer and winter, a few small outdoor and indoor tables also allow you to sit on the terrace to enjoy your share on the spot. Nothing to say about the quality. The pizzas have a thin and crunchy dough, the toppings are generous, with a choice of tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, salami, peppers and ricotta, among others.

Contrary to what its name suggests, this restaurant is not located at the Pordoi Pass, but in the heart of the village of Arabba. This mountain inn and restaurant with geraniums on the balconies and wainscoting everywhere is renowned for its excellent regional cuisine at reasonable prices. There are specialities with nettle, speck from the Alto Adige and other specialities in sauce that keep body and soul together with the cold. There are also excellent pizzas.

Not far from the Casa di Giulietta, this typical osteria offers fish dishes like the spaghetti went busara, which we found delicious. The wines are all regional production.

Located in a small square away from the hustle and bustle of the quays, this restaurant is one of the addresses to be recommended after a few hours of walking and visiting. The dishes on the plate are just like the ones we like to enjoy in the area around Venice: flavors and freshness are present in the fish soups, scallops, grilled meats, but also in the pizzas and risotti. These recipes contrast harmoniously with the contemporary look of the room.

In the most picturesque corner of Treviso, here is a pretty bistro set up under the arcades of the promenade that runs along one of the canals that criss-cross the city. On the menu, local products according to the seasons, with beautiful meat and fish plates cooked with a mixture of bold flavors (tagliatelle with coffee, prawns and almond powder, tomatoes stuffed with eggplant, mozzarella and basil cream, mascarpone cream and its little cookies). Interesting selection of labels, where the regional prosecco wins the first prize.

Managed by Benedetta Fullin, this trendy address is sold out at lunch and dinner. In a chic and informal setting, we admire the chef Salvatore Sodano and his team, visible in the open kitchen, who use the best seasonal ingredients to create dishes where creativity reigns supreme. Indeed, it would be difficult to find another place to enjoy spaghetti with oysters and smoked butter, flavored with bergamot, or quail with raspberries and cocoa. The presentation of the plates is worthy of contemporary works of art.

Bigoli in triumph in this unusual trattoria: these typically Venetian pasta, in the shape of long and thick tubes, are offered here seasoned with a hundred possible sauces! Make sure you are hungry before you sit down to eat, the portions are very large. Rustic and warm atmosphere.

The ground floor of Palazzo Venier (from the th century), the ancient residence of the Giorgione, welcomes you today in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, the temple of good artisanal cheese, which does not feel good. You can settle outside, around tables along the Grand Canal and on Campo San Sylvester, or inside under old, refreshing stone arches. The kitchen is typically Venetian, although innovative: there are for all tastes. Wine and cheese tastings are regularly organised. The house can also create banquets, buffets, etc. on request.

Located in the centre of the city, the hotel has two stylish rooms and Liberty furnishings. The dishes are mainly based on fish: salad for mussels and black truffle, saint aux, bream, courgettes, bar, and vraies shells.

Refined as a gourmet restaurant, warm as a bistro and lively as a wine bar, Le Chat qui Rit successfully blends the old and the new in both decor and food. Giovanni, the expert manager of this quiet place, has turned it into a first-rate address. Le Chat qui Rit's cuisine focuses on seafood products, in flavor combinations that fill the taste buds with pleasure (pan-fried octopus with foie gras, langoustine tartar, scallop sauce and Dashi Yuzu broth...).

An osteria that takes its name from the traditional fishing boat of the lagoon, the bragosso. The restaurant's typically marine décor contributes to creating a simple and friendly atmosphere, in a spacious setting that extends over two rooms and an outdoor terrace, all along the very commercial Strada Nuova. Al Vecio imagines a tasty and surprising cuisine, between secular recipes and contemporary notes, in which seafood products are obviously the first guests, resources from the market of Chioggia.

Once at the table of this Paduan restaurant, the waiter suggests a selection of regional specialties, including grilled meats seasoned with local herbs, baccalà alla Vicentina, but also bigoli and other delicious homemade pasta dishes. La Vecchia Padova, with its old-fashioned décor of wooden tables, two-tone brown and white tablecloths and copper pots on the ceiling, has also become known for its generous, crisp pizzas baked in its wood-fired oven. Some dishes are also available for self-service.

This rather contemporary café has taken up residence under the arcades of Corso Palladio, on the right-hand sidewalk that leads a few hundred meters further to the Olympic Theater. The place is ideal for a break between two visits to the old town. It offers a wide range of coffees roasted on the spot, as well as a wide range of pastries and artisanal ice creams. You can also take a break at lunchtime on the terrace, where you will be tempted by salads, cheese platters, cold meats or by typical snacking products.

Who knows, maybe it's the international pop playlist that will get you in. This new establishment has two rooms decorated with a mix of traditional and modern. Many pictures of drivers and racing cars line the walls, as well as an amazing bright red hood from an old Ferrari berlinetta... The reception is rather nice and the service very efficient. The cuisine is homemade and the dishes are prepared with refinement, like the specialities of pasta, ravioli and lasagna served in large designer-looking pôelons.

The Antica Mola is a specifically Venetian restaurant with a menu centered around fish. It is located along the wonderful Fondamenta degli Ormesini, one of the most picturesque quays in Venice. The address is divided between a cozy interior and an outdoor terrace, with the added bonus of a lovely internal courtyard. Daily offerings include squid ink risotto and Venetian-style liver, not to mention sarde in saor and spider crab. Finish the meal with tasty and fragrant homemade desserts

You have to go and find it, this restaurant, located alongside an old shipyard where two gondolas have served their purpose... Access is via an industrial staircase. Once up there, you won't regret the trip. Not least because the terrace enjoys a unique panorama over the lagoon, far from the Venetian hubbub. The à la carte menu is no disappointment either: simple, high-quality recipes based exclusively on fish and seafood, such as tagliolini with prawns or gnocchi with langoustines and tomatoes.
