Refined, "old-fashioned", this charming establishment is both a chic bistro and a café. Located a few steps from the Giardini Giusti in the Veronetta district, it is a picturesque stop for a bite to eat away from the crowds, especially during the summer. Ice cream, pastries and drinks are served at tea time, while carefully prepared plates await you at dinner time. Among the dishes to try: beef tartar, spaghetti bolognese, but also snails, cheese and cold cuts.

Interesting address, listed in the Michelin Venice for 20 years. This restaurant is both traditional and a bit whimsical, a good table where history, art and gastronomy are combined in a refined setting. The staff is dedicated to digging into the dungeons of Venetian cuisine to unearth amazing recipes. The langoustine with sweet and sour sauce, with onions, almonds and raisins, for example, is amazing... Just like the cellar, which is full of vintages. Large choice of wines by the glass and oyster tasting at the counter.

Sheltered from the crowd, you can enjoy every moment of your meal at Quaranta Ladroni (the forty thieves). This small neighborhood brasserie seduces as much by its small romantic tables with candles along the canal as by its simple and tasty fish cuisine. You can see the Venetians (the real ones) parking their little boat to come here for dinner. And if you have to wait a long time for a seat, it is on the small bridge next door that you will wait, with a first glass in your hand, contemplating this timeless setting. Admit that there are worse things, right?

Follow the path into the Caves of Caglieron and follow the course of the river. You would think you were in a tale of Tolkien, but it is actually reality: at the end of the promenade leads to a small clearing where is a former mill now brasserie. Meat and fish dishes, but it is mainly the setting that is worth the detour. 

A café-bistro, located on the heights at 2,178 metres above sea level, on the road between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Alta Badia. You can stop there by car for a coffee, to eat (it is traditional, cheap and copious), but above all to admire the landscape below. You never get tired of it, and with sunshine you can even stay for hours! There are many hiking routes nearby, including to Laguzuoi. This refuge can also be a stop for lunch between two hikes.

Located on the pleasant campo San Stefano, the terrace is nice after a long walk. But the real interest of the address is the small pastry in the tea room where Venetian sweets are honored. From the famous baicoli (chat languages) to the Doge pan (dried fruit biscuit) through zaeti, you will regain strength and you will have the courage to measure you at the nearby Accademia Bridge. The Café also offers simple meals (pasta, pizzas…) at all times of the day.
