The ^38th edition of La Semaine de la Poésie, organized as part of Printemps des Poètes, is much more than just a festival in the Clermont-Ferrand area. It brings poetry and contemporary authors to a wide audience, and offers a wide range of cultural activities for sharing: meetings, readings, writing workshops, screenings, lectures... Poets meet students in their classes, from kindergarten to university. In 2024, the festival's patron was Ariane Dreyfus.

Sixth edition of the Sancy Games, with several different video games spaces in place to accommodate young and less young people wishing to entertain during the holidays in February. The time of a weekend, the Autumn Musical Days of Souvigny take possession of this city charged with history, for the delight of lovers of baroque music. A particularly warm atmosphere characterizes this young festival that combines concerts, gastronomy and discovery of the medieval site of Souvigny. Festival goers can benefit from an innovative, high-quality formula for exceptional rates.

25 th edition and 4 new exceptional courses. Usability is the watchword of the test. Entertainment, concerts and shows take place in Ambert and in the municipalities crossed, as well as the greedy refuelling on the 3 routes, and a village of know-how and gastronomy on the arrival stage… Since the creation of the test, 28 500 participants have shared these rare moments, together with the 600 volunteers involved.

This classical, modern and baroque music festival is organised every year, in late June/early July, in historic places such as the Issoire Abbey or Parentignat Castle. It relies on international interpreters and aims to allow the greatest number of people to have access to international concerts and performances.

The Black Woods Mountain Mountain Bike Area and the Black Woods Mountain Club organize every year, every last Sunday in June, the Bois Noir Oxygen whose starting point travels within Space over the years. It is a hike that breaks into several circuits with a raid of about 75 km and several courses for all levels, different from year to year, 15, 25 and 35 km.

During the weekend of Pentecost, Châtelguyon returned with the sources of jazz, the one listening with the feet rather than with the ears. From 11 a. m. to 2 a. m., some sixty artists, musicians and professional dancers, supported by the 200 fanatiques trainees, share their passion, thanks to street parades, free concerts on nine different scenes, the dance be-bop and tap dance courses, demonstrations and improvisations.

This 25 years ago, a group of friends both music lovers and viscerally attached to this magnificent town of Riom, decided to base this festival that bears its name today. Laurent Martin, this excellent pianist who is leading the brilliant career, was the first artistic director. At the time, it was to make known the immense compound literature for the king instrument, mainly but not merely classical. The town of Riom immediately followed, as well as many public and private partners. This is how since 1987 we have been in Riom and in several municipalities adjacent to exceptional pianists. The third piano president in Riom, Hubert Desjonquères, took the party of reasoned evolution by opening the festival since 2011 to other music.

The festival of Domaize, organized by the Association «Do But In Body», combines the programming of talent known as the «Do But In Body». A place of dissemination, exchange and sharing in a beautiful setting in the heart of Livradois-Forez for a weekend. The organisers offer different dining booths inside the festival site. For Saturday, outside the concert site, you will find a bar with small restoration during the theme day.

For a weekend, go back in time to the time of the Gauls and the Roman legionaries. All sorts of activities and demonstrations are organized around battle re-enactments. They will immerse you in the daily life of a city or a Gallic village: pottery, leather work, rope, forge, tavern and great banquet ... Children can dress up, take on the role of an archaeologist, try modeling, coinage or dyeing. Since 2017, the association Gergovie @ Les Arverniales organizes the Archéofête.

The World Friends Round has become a Vital event in the heart of Livradois-Forez. The festival allows through live shows to discover cultures around the world and to share intense emotions, in a mixture of colours and rhythms, it offers the visitor an unforgettable image of the richness of the world's cultures and the ephemeral feeling of a possible agreement between all peoples.

The aim of the festival since its creation in 1978 is to musically animate a rural majority region, so programming has always targeted a diversity covering a large part of the musical repertoire, classic as well as open to jazz and world music. The festival thus animates eleven communes of Livradois-Forez, full partners of the Concerts Concerts; the program, soloists, flautist, pianist, soprano and many other surprises. Children are not forgotten, with stories that are specially dedicated to them.

This summer, the Tour de France passes through Praz de Lys Sommand and Taninges! It is on July 15th that the brave cyclists will face the famous Col de la Ramaz, in an idyllic setting for the spectators and sporting for the competitors. On July 16th, the Tour will pass through the village of Taninges. For this occasion, two animated evenings will take place. For the amateur cyclists, you have the opportunity to ride the Annemasse-Morzine stage on July 9th and to precede the champions.

Wood carving has always played an important role in Bessans. For two days, local artisans from Maurienne and France present their works and know-how at the 19 ^th meeting of wood sculptors and artisans. No doubt you will hear about Bessans's devil legend. Thanks to the Valmeinier Heritage Association, several monuments such as the Moulin aux Grands Côtes and chapels in the hamlets have been renovated. Vélocio has been around for over 100 years. Several routes are on offer, ranging from 30 to 95 km. On the program: on closed roads, a 12 km climb in modo chrono or a hike uphill. The program attracts around a hundred cycling enthusiasts, who set off on the slope of the famous Col de la République, at the summit of which stands a monument to the memory of Paul de Vivie (1853-1930), a leading figure in French cycle touring nicknamed... Vélocio. This event is open to all - some participants are over 80 years old! Let us begin the presentation of this path by a historical digression. The Huguenots were, of the time of religious wars, the Protestant Protestants then in conflict with the Catholics. Following the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685, nearly 300 000 Huguenots were forced to leave the country. The forest of Saoû, which was the cradle of local Protestantism, became a haven of importance for those who did not "désertèrent". Back to the time of the Romans and the Templar… You are here in Clansayes, and before you take your walk, we invite you to join the dungeon, Saint Vincent Church, and the strange three-niches room, right next door. Over the periods, the latter had different roles: It was first a sanctuary and became a boardroom. Enjoy the time you need from the panorama, and it's gone for about two hours! In the direction of the south, make a hook by Notre-Dame-de-Toronne chapel. Old hats of the Templar, she deserves ample attention. In winter, the Alps are a true ski Eldorado: there are plenty of stations to delight enthusiasts! Often very expensive, you think the pleasure of sliding is reserved for privileged people? Well do you misunderstand: Cross-country skiing and snowshoes are generally much more affordable. And for evidence: The area of Val de Tamié, located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Bauges massif, offers 30 kilometres of marked and maintained cross-country ski slopes, accessible from 5 € for adults and 3 € for children! Green, blue, red and black: Come and try this practice on tracks of various levels!

So forget the cold of winter and take advantage of the white carpet you put on Dame Nature to try this original sport! The ski area of Praz-de-Lys-Sommand has a few trails at various levels of difficulty. One of them is especially dedicated to fitness: developed in collaboration with specialists, she has panels giving you tips to better manage your effort and your heart rhythm! On track!

Located in the heart of the Brasses massif, the Plaine-Joux plateau is ideally located for cross-country skiing. At 1 250 metres above sea level, you are facing the mythical Mont Blanc and develop within a calm and wild nature, on quality snow. Green, blue, red or black; a total of five tracks are offered, groomed in classic or alternating from 1,5 to 15 km, from very easy (green) to black (black). This gives you the opportunity to make progress at your own pace, while taking the time to enjoy the surrounding landscape!

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is one of the most famous ski resorts in Haute-Savoie. If the alpine downhill at high altitude is not for you, the station also offers an alternative with a Nordic ski area of about kilometres of slopes. Houches, Chamonix, Argentière, Vallorcine, splendid and attractive sites for beginners or those who are more confirmed. In Chamonix: 3 tracks in three levels of difficulty, 20 km within a few minutes of the city centre. And if you prefer the pleasure of walking, please note that two pedestrian routes are at your disposal for an outing in snowshoes!
