Sport is all year round: whether it is raining, selling or snowing! If in summer the mountains of Haute-Savoie lend themselves particularly well to hiking, the winter is the best ski. Welcome to the Upper Giffre valley, where we offer you a cross-country ski exit! Between 690 and 1 770 metres of altitude, the tracks of Horseshoe, Joux-Plane or the valley offer you great possibilities for riding. In total, these are 17 green, blue and red itineraries, marked and traced in classical style or skating. The best way to attract budding skiers as well as the most experienced skiers!

Sylvie Becaert, gold medallist in sprint at the 2003 World Championships, and Roddy Darragon, gold medallist at the 2006 Olympic Games, are certainly the two largest cross-country ski champions that the Grand-Bornand has known. But do not put pressure on you: here, everyone can evolve at its level! From December to April, while Dame Nature takes you on its white carpet, the northern area of the station takes you to its 70 kilometres of cross-country skiing. Walkers, for their part, are not: 3 marked routes are reserved, with a link Le Grand-Bornand-Le Chinaillon in return.

The asphalt road linking the Col de Porte and the Charmanson mountain pasture is covered in snow in winter. It is then closed to motorists and becomes a playground for winter sports enthusiasts. A great place for cross-country skiing or ski touring, you can reach the first houses on the alpage in 50 minutes. The return journey is effortless: downhill only. If you've chosen to do this itinerary on snowshoes, the walk continues up to the summit of Charmanson, with a further 1-hour ascent.

In the town of Montarcher and La Chapelle-en-Lafaye, an orientation course invites you to test your resourcefulness. Free access and permanent, you just have to have a compass and buy the route map (€ 1) at the Saint Bonnet-le-Château Tourist Office or at the Info Point of Usson-en-Forez. You will find tags during your progression on the 7 km of the course. According to your level, four different channels of difficulty are available (green, blue, red and black). At your compasses!

Located on the northern area of Haut-drilling, the Lodge Pass is a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. The station offers 78 kilometres of marked cross-country ski slopes and four routes in snowshoes between 1 253 and 1 428 metres. Two of the routes in snowshoes are in the form of loops: " Le Bois de Migois " (4 km) and" Le Payanet " (6,5 km). The other two are in return: " La Pirouse " (4 km) and" Le " (11 km). The Piste trail also meets the loop of the Col de la Loge, a trail in 17 km long snowshoes that leaves the Ridges of Forez Nord.

At the start of the ski resort of Chalmazel, three routes of snowshoe walkers go into the snow. The easiest thing is the Squirrel circuit, a 3 km loop to travel in 1 h 30. The Fox circuit is in two Separable parts of one hour each. The first half of 2,9 km along the Lift lift. So you can do it on the rise and drop down in a lift or inversement to do just the descent. The second part links the arrival of the lift to Pierre-sur-Haute. This 2,5 km stretch is more difficult because the slope is steep enough. Finally, the Deer circuit is a more difficult route of 6 km spread over 220 metres of difference, to achieve in 3 h.

Six kilometres from the Village, Domaine de Burdignes offers 20 kilometres of marked Nordic ski trails and maintained throughout the winter. The four routes of difficulty start at the Maison de la Nature de La Faye. The green trail is 3 km long, the blue 5 km, the red 7 km and finally the black 8 km. These circuits are relatively short and can easily be combined. The area also offers discovery routes accessible in snowshoes, ranging from 3,4 km to 8,4 kilometres.

The slopes of the northern borders of the Confins in La Clusaz have grown and advanced the athlete Vincent Vittoz, a sacred Nordic world champion in Oberstdorf in 2005. Today, it is here that we propose you to spend. Forget the seasonal cold and take advantage of this activity to discover the enchanting landscapes of the snow-capped Alps. The area has 14 marked tracks at various levels of difficulty, allowing everyone to take pleasure without sweating blood and water. In such an environment, sport in winter will never have been so attractive!

You are here in the Monts Mountains, about kilometres west of Lyon. This virtual Lane is accessible only by bicycle, and for cause: it is evolving on RD 600, a small, very small departmental road, which is prohibited for motor vehicles - except for neighbours. In 6 kilometres you reach the Nézel, a place called Larajasse. The course is pleasant, it offers you this and there beautiful views of the valley.

The Voie Verte du Beaujolais runs for 15 km through the Ardières valley, making it an ideal itinerary for hikers, cyclists and other soft mobility enthusiasts. Accessible to all, its tarmac surface allows easy, level progress in an enchanting natural setting. Dotted with 10 cycle tourism loops, this greenway invites you to discover the Beaujolais vineyards and forests, thanks to a network of surrounding cycle routes. Managed by the Rhône department, this infrastructure perfectly combines the pleasure of cycling with respect for the environment.

In Grenoble, the first leaves of spring are sprouting from the pages of books. Printemps du Livre is an event organized by the City of Grenoble and its municipal libraries, in partnership with bookshops. For the ^22nd edition, a host of authors will be on hand for readings, round-table discussions, performances, urban exhibitions and book signings... An immense pleasure to read and discover, to be shared at this event.

In Auvergne, volcanoes attract visitors to both winter and summer. Located in the heart of the Massif Massif, the volcanic cone of Mont-Dore is famous for its ski area and spa. Lovers of cross-country skiing and snowshoes can give you an appointment in the Capuchin area. It has three cross-country ski loops, 1,5 km, 2,8 km and 4,5 km, as well as longer round-trip trails. Different routes are available for snowshoes, but all can be found in a multi-activity circuit and a circuit for children who allow skiers to meet snowshoes and hikers.

The RASSEMBLEMENT NATIONAL CHEMINOT, organized by the GNMC (Groupement National Motocycliste Cheminot), is a must-attend event for motorcycle enthusiasts and railway workers. Recognized as a company sport, it attracts around a thousand participants from all over France. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this eagerly-awaited event is back with a vengeance. It's an opportunity to celebrate the passion of motorcycling, and to rediscover the spirit of camaraderie that animates this unique community. A not-to-be-missed event for two-wheeled enthusiasts and lovers.

In the pleasant setting of the Royat Casino, some fifty exhibitors from the region will help you find ideas that are trendy or original, tasty, romantic and chic. Dress, costume and jewellery designers, florists, reception venues and castles, caterers, photographers, entertainers, decorators, ceremony experts, rental agencies, wedding cake specialists... Everything is there to perfect your project. During the weekend, the salon offers dress and costume shows, hairdressing shows, tastings, and exhibits vintage cars. The event is completed by a catering service / bar, a competition and a daycare.

A wedding in Marrakech, a wedding with oriental accents? This lounge is for you. This 6 th edition will open the doors of the Palace of the Thousand and one night for a wedding more than secluded. All new trends in terms of design, fashion, but also on the side of caterers and accommodation for your honeymoon.

The GTC consists of four circuits of 12, 22 and 33 km and a 68 km full race. Some events have been created to make the challenge more challenging and to surprise the participants. Last year, two races were qualifying for the UTPMB. Departures and arrivals are at the Zénith d'Auvergne and the circuits are spread out around Pérignat, La Roche-Blanche, the Gergovie plateau, Romagnat, Ceyrat and up to the puy de Dôme for the longest course. The event is open to all, as well as to company and community teams with the Challenge Entreprises.

The exhibition "Riccardo Gualino the Magnificent - Life and Work of a Collector" is on display on the first floor of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Chambéry until 22 March 2020. Riccardo Gualino, born on 25 March 1879 in Biella and died on 6 June 1964 at the age of 85 in Florence, was born into a family of goldsmiths from Biella. He is an entrepreneur and above all a great art collector, in addition to being also a writer and producer of Italian cinema. This exhibition was designed and produced by the Musei Reali of Turin, a twin city with Chambéry. While visiting the city of the dukes, the exhibition focuses on Riccardo Gualino's close links between art and life. It reveals an extraordinary man and presents about a hundred works and archival documents, whether paintings, sculptures or art objects ranging from antiquity to the 20th century. Its collection is said to be one of the most beautiful and significant in Italy.

As every 11 November, Lieues Foréziennes offers you this race race at Bonson in the Loire. A nice opportunity to recharge batteries in full nature!

A convivial corrida in the heart of Ambert in a very nice atmosphere where the runners are disguised. At the end of the race, all participants are invited to a large campground and the best disguise will be rewarded.

Like every year, magic happens at the Ultra Tour des 4 Massifs, more commonly known as Ut4M. The ^12th edition of this exceptional race links the 4 massifs surrounding Grenoble-Alpes Métropole: Vercors, Taillefer, Belledonne and Chartreuse. 12 races for all levels, with the flagship Ut4M 160 Xtrem taking in all the peaks (with extended opening hours for greater accessibility). If you're not yet a great trailer, but want to join in the adventure, sign up for the 20 km versions on the massif of your choice, especially the Chartreuse, which has the special feature of being run at night.

The Salon Tatou Juste has become a must-see event in the city. It attracts many exhibitors from Saint-Etienne and the surrounding area and a host of visitors who are fond of organic products and solutions for living together and in harmony with the environment. All fields are represented here: food, of course, but also modes of transport, education, construction, textiles, housing... Animations, practical workshops and activities for children are also organized. It is possible to spend the day there, several exhibitors offer small gourmet dishes for lunch. There is something for everyone, whatever their age or interests!

Since 2018, the Clermontoise, which was then blowing its 10 years, has been renamed Clermont en Rose, from the name of the brand new association that is responsible for the organization. The objective remains the same: to support research against breast cancer, charitable actions and improve the living conditions of patients. In Clermont, we are witnessing a real pink tsunami! In 2022, more than 10,000 people participated, alone or with friends, sometimes with strollers, and ran the 5 kilometer loop. All profits are donated to associations fighting against breast cancer. In more than ten years, the race has already exceeded the million euro mark.

The Lyon 2 Wheel Show has been held since 1994. Three to four days are devoted to the world's leading brands, with a host of equipment manufacturers, accessory specialists (with a special focus on custom bikes), tour operators and associations. All in all, over 150 exhibitors and 2,000 two-wheelers on more than 50,000 m² of floor space, plus all kinds of original events. The show is constantly innovating, with a rich program, several broadcasts, numerous reports and live coverage so you can enjoy the event from a distance. The video competition is a great success!

For over 10 years, this festival has been delighting lovers of Baroque music. Located in Saint-Bonnet-le-Château and the surrounding villages, it offers the chance to enjoy the great Baroque works performed by prestigious musicians. The various concerts take on a variety of forms, either in unusual locations or on walks. Prices are very affordable.

Light on a hip-hop dance festival that, for a whole week, welcomes artists from all over the world to deliver their own dance language. Hip-hop, which originated in the American ghettos, has now found its place on the scene. And what a scene, since it's about The Blue Hour. Among the highlights of this festival: workshops open to all, beginners and advanced, masterclasses, but above all the famous battle evening. A hip-hop classic that these "clashes" danced where each team (crew, team...) provokes the other. A Festival full of excitement and excitement, in which everyone can participate simply by moving their feet on good sound.

The town of Virignin decided to celebrate the summer sportingly! On Sunday, July 2, she will receive her summer race, a shaded 10,8 km course, accessible to the largest number and connecting the village to several hamlets. A foretaste of the circuit? 40% of road roads, 60% nature paths, and 100% fun! No great difficulty to mention, if it's this little raidillon of 300 m. All to your trainers and your Brands… Loans? Leave!

The Sainté Trail Urbain is a way to discover Saint-Étienne in a different way. Different activities are available: for example, routes of about 10 to 30 kilometres, a gourmet walk, an open-air walk or a Nordic walk. The aim is to welcome the widest possible audience, of all ages, whether trained or not. The tours allow you to explore different parts of the city, sometimes unusual and hidden. Thanks to these tours, participants discover large and sometimes unknown parks of greenery, they can also run along the mythical lawn of the Geoffroy Guichard stadium, or even cross the mine museum...

What better way to liven up a village than with a festival combining music and street art? The streets of Saint-Gervais are transformed into a veritable stage. Artists turn the public space into a giant festival, with music, street dance, theater, comedians and numerous street performances, each more eccentric than the last. For music lovers, there's something for everyone on the dance floor in the heart of the village: soul, funk, blues, pop, DJ, jazz, rock, electro-swing and street bands...

Les Arts dans la Bulle is a circus festival dedicated to young audiences. During three days, Saint-Yorre welcomes many street shows or a big musical parade. Magic, acrobatics, brass band, theater, mime or music hall. Children will also be able to participate in circus workshops (on registration) where they will discover the unicycle, stilts, juggling or diabolo. Face painting workshops and refreshments at the Hall des Sports are also on the program.

Les Clévos, Cité des Savoirs, is a cultural site located in Étoile-sur-Rhône, south of Valence. This historic museum lets you discover art and science through experimentation, fun and exchange. A varied program includes workshops, exhibitions and special events such as the Fête de la Science, open to the general public (tourists, holidaymakers, etc.). The Valence Romans Agglo manager also offers educational resources tailored to students. The Rire & Magie festival, held in Saint-Péray, is jointly organized by the Compagnie Zinzoline, a local association whose aim is to develop the street, performing and visual arts, and more specifically the practice of mime and gestural theater. The two-day program includes shows, trick fairs, comedy and magic competitions. Saturday evening features a gala with international artists, and Sunday a show for families. A weekend full of sleight-of-hand for young and old alike.

An extraordinary festival in an extraordinary place. An electronic music festival held in the gardens of the Musée Dauphinois. It's early summer, it's hot (no changing rooms, so dress accordingly) and you want to dance to the sounds of DJ sets that go on until nightfall. There's plenty to eat and drink, and plenty of dancing and fun to be had on a dancefloor set in an incredible setting at the foot of the Bastille.

This race was called the Auvergne Extreme. But after the change of the organizing team, it became the Vellav'Extreme in 2018. It is much more than a race because there is no stopwatch. Vellav'Extreme relies more on a festive spirit than on sportsmanship, even if it still requires a minimum of training to overcome the obstacles scattered over two 8 and 13 kilometre long courses. Climbing, swimming, sliding, rolling in the mud, the participants have a field day and are rewarded at each stop at the various refuelling points with a tasting of local products: sausages, cheeses etc. And after the race, for those who still have some energy left, the organization thought of a dance party.

Unity is strength, we keep saying. Proof of this is. Along rue Vibert in Le Puy-en-Velay, very close to Place du Breuil, four merchants have decided to join forces to create Les Vibérations in each summer season. Yann from the beer bar Le Black Pearl, Alexis from the restaurant Maki Nova, Vincent from the wine and tapas bar Camino des goulots and Younes from the restaurant Kebab Imma have come up with a project to liven up their street in good weather. This rue Vibert, which is normally crossed by cars, becomes a pedestrian street every Friday and Saturday evening, from June to September. Thus the terraces of the four merchants are expanding, but also and above all a space is reserved for local music groups. In 2018, 24 concert evenings were organized for the Vibrations. A great initiative therefore, each year rewarded by an ever-increasing number of visitors. In bars and restaurants, it is advisable to book your table.

Every year the International Psytrance Festival takes us into the world of science fiction. There are 100 artists on three stages to which are added scenographies, decorators, painters, video artists... who come to perform at the Vieure lake. Throughout the festival, food stands are available in the festival village. A choice of world cuisine, french fries, smoothies, varied dishes, organic and regional. With the idea of representing the arts related to psytrance culture, a space is dedicated to artisans and creators to allow them to exhibit and offer for sale art objects, paintings, clothing, jewelry, accessories...

August 26th in Teillet, then August 31st in Lignerolles, and September ^1st and 2nd in Argenty. For the past ten years, this original festival has presented theatrical shows in the villages of the Cher valley. On the program, concerts of all kinds, songs for adults and young audiences and magic. With all kinds of surprises, little joys and big smiles caught in the middle of a show, a performance, or a crazy cabaret...

Adjacent to the brasserie of the same name, Le Méliès cinema screens films that you probably won't find in other cinemas in town. Independent and heritage cinema, films in VO, must-see films in VF... This venue screens 5 to 6 international feature-length films a week, and is a favorite with all cinephiles. Le Méliès is also two cinemas, offering twice as many screenings: the largest is located on Place Jean Jaurès, with 4 screens, and the other in the Saint-François district (bonus: a room with a balcony!). It is also one of the few cinemas to offer solidarity tickets for people on low incomes.

Adela Coman-Trambouze has created an associative exhibition space under the arcades of the Hôtel de Ville. She invites artists, designers, creators of all kinds to exhibit their creations in order to test them with the public, hence the name laboratory. Thus, going to this place is always a surprise. The exhibitions change almost every week and you never know what to expect. Do not hesitate to visit and revisit this laboratory rich in surprises!

This is the 4 th semi-night trail of cotials! For this new edition, you will be entitled to two courses, one 10 km and one 20 km. As the trail is done in some darkness, a front lamp is mandatory. Here's a trail that will get you back in shape! And to motivate you a little more, on arrival it's onion soup offered for everyone!
