Built in the sixteenth century by Geoffroy de Pompadour, bishop of the Puy, this parish church of the country of Pompadour has undergone a second life since 2008 thanks to the work of André Brasilier, Rome's first grand prize of painting and host of Villa Médicis. A monumental contemporary fresco of 500 m ² covers the walls and the arch that have been redesigned and shimmered for the project. Colorful and colorful paintings of different blues take on the main themes of the Bible in scenes populated by animals (including the horse for which the city and the artist have a common passion). For 5 years, this renovation and creation work has brought together many companions including the artisans of the famous Paccard foundry for bells and the Limoges Vitrail Workshop. The 30-minute comment is complemented by the projection of a 40-min film that traces the stages of this restoration and shows the companions at work.
