On the first floor of the restaurant Les Caudalies, we discover this pretty place: Le Décalé. Both a tapas bar and a wine bar, this place, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, is dedicated to beautiful bottles and beautiful boards to share with friends or colleagues,... You come here for afterwork evenings, cocktail dinners, wine tasting. You will be delighted with the boards with evocative and well-smelling names: Oh la cochonne! (assortment of cold meats), Ah la vache ! (cheeses), Tapas bien! (tapas)... And we savour the sandwiches served on salad: Y'a pas de bê... (roast goat's cheese, tomato confit, dried duck breast), Are you hot Momo ? What if you turned into Sherlock Holmes for the time of an investigation? Are you ready? Go to La Ligue des Gentlemen to take part in a live escape game, in other words a life-size game. La Ligue is one of the very first escape games to be created in Nantes. The gentlemen will welcome you in a uniform adapted to your mission. A room opened in April 2023 at 6, rue du Guesclin (mission Haut Vol). Depending on the game you choose, these charming master gamers (MG) will give you an appointment on one or the other site. On the practical side, this escape game is accessible after having constituted your team (friends, colleagues, family) from 2 to 6 people. You can choose from 7 missions: "LU" or how to get your hands on the original recipe of Petit Lu in 1897; or "Feydeau". The principle remains the same: 1 hour watch in hand to get out of the room or rooms and solve the enigma. Each mission takes place in a dedicated space, with careful decoration. You have to observe, think, use logic and agility to find keys, codes and other mechanisms. The experience is of course fun, even if you don't always manage to get out before the hour! The Gentlemen's welcome lives up to its name!

In the middle of the city, Gaumont decorated by Christian Lacroix proposes all the films of the moment on wide screen. For the fans of lyric art or to discover: ten operas are broadcast in digital quality and live at the famous Metropolitan of New York. But also private tours, the live concerts and the subtitled sessions for deaf or hard of hearing persons who regularly attend it every Thursday and Saturday. A large selection of films in Original and French Version, 2D or in 3D, remains a significant asset. It is faster, without any additional charge and the cancelling can be done until fifteen minutes before your session. Gaumont is unquestionably an interesting place... Dating back to 1936, it has the old-fashioned charm of yesteryear and has a unique but vast hall with more than 400 seats with wide, soft red armchairs and large red curtains on either side of the screen. Each session begins with a short film followed by an intermission during which an usher comes by to sell sweets. A relaxed family atmosphere is guaranteed! Programming: new releases, Ciné Minos screenings for children (the first Sunday of the month), Ciné Thèmes evenings for grown-ups and a cycle of Les Grands Classiques (once a month). Every first Sunday of the month, a cinema poster sale is organised. Also noteworthy, in May, the short film festival: Montre-moi ton court! which presents short films made by all audiences.

Imagine: cocoa beans imported from a cooperative in the province of Chiapas in Mexico (without intermediaries, in the respect of fair trade) crushed and roasted before your eyes before forming bars, coulis, ice creams, hot and cold drinks... Without preservatives or cocoa butter... Drinks as well as bars can be flavored with many flavors: chili, cinnamon, ginger, crushed hazelnuts, gingerbread mix, coconut, sesame, fleur de sel, almonds, raisins, cranberries, edible flower petals... Among our favorites: chocolate making. You can make your own chocolate bar from the cocoa bean during a 2-hour workshop or simply discover the origins of cocoa (1-hour workshop)!

Dive into the time of the Vikings: confront the ghost of Lars Gundursson, Viking chief of the 9th century, or discover the Pirate Ship: meet Captain Vié, thief of the English jewel in the 18th century, or infiltrate the Karma Project: search an enemy submarine base under the Loire River, in the 20th century. The immersion is total thanks to the sets made by film professionals. The question is whether you'll get out in time! This tea room is located in the shadow of the church, in the center of Saint-Jean. To his head, smiling, Sebastien Caudal and Daniel. As pastries, fine pastries and pastries are made home, like chocolates, caramels, jams, etc. Among the lighthouses: The Chocotarte (a chocolate background, burnt cream and fruit), a dozen of home macarons (salted butter caramel, lemon, pralé, etc.), Charnet (Breton sanded, vanilla cream), the raspberry raspberry, and of course the brioche, the spoil and the flank. It's a marquee year. Sébastien has made a specialty of pastries from the pastry range, like the religious to salty butter caramel. Cakes that have the common point of generosity, such as their creator, one of the emblematic desserts is the rum baba. There are also creations, such as Le Pêché montois (black chocolate foam, caramel, chocolate mousse milk, hazelnuts). In winter, you can taste these delicacies in the small room, accompanied by one of Damman teas or a Viennese chocolate. They will leave the place in summer to ice desserts, vacherine or ice-cream (about ten perfumes), to take away or to enjoy on the terrace.

LE THÉÂTRE

Theater

1 review

The National Scene The Theatre took place in 2012 in the old station of Saint-Nazaire, located in the City-Port district. In the Haussmann style, it was built here in 1857 because passengers from Paris could win the maritime station at 100 metres on foot, to sail on the ships and earn South America. Damaged but not destroyed during the war, it remains in service until 1955, the year of inauguration of the new SNCF station. In 1978, the city acquired the remaining buildings. After many years of abandonment and several years of successive work, she is fully rehabilitated and becomes the starting point for attending beautiful shows: theatre, dance, music, song, circus, performance… The entrance takes place by the arcades. The requalifiée nave is accessible from the arcades and from the northern parking lot.

This downtown cinema offers a rich program. The big advantage is that you can watch foreign films in their original language. Enthusiasts can receive the week's program by e-mail, simply by providing their address. Some popular films are nevertheless distributed here, especially those aimed at children. Personalities and associations are on hand when a feature film is being debated. The size of the auditoriums (40 to 184 seats) is adapted to the expected attendance. Access is via Place des Comtes-du-Maine (an elevator in a glass box for the disabled) or via Avenue du Général-de-Gaulle (stairs). SKYWAY SİMULATİON

Casino billiards and bowling

This is enough to arouse the interest of the curious in search of thrills as much as the amateurs of aeronautics. The idea is therefore at the very least atypical, which makes this place dedicated to flight simulation so charming. It's a story of family and passion. Cyril and Alison have decided to put their energy into their dream: to open an aeronautical simulation centre. To do this, they have surrounded themselves with a sailing team including Corentin, this private pilot who puts his passion and experience at the service of amateur or enlightened customers coming to discover this extraordinary leisure activity. It all starts in the briefing room where the instructors reveal everything you need to know to take the (real) controls of the machine. And the rest is a new and fun experience: a simulation flight on Mirage 2000, the French patrol aircraft or on Boeing 777, the biggest jet of the moment! It should be noted that the venue is available for any professional or festive event and also organizes anti-stress courses to overcome fear on the plane. New: escape game in virtual reality. To discover absolutely, to offer or to privatize!

LA CAVE PARALLELE BAR

Bar and caf

Jérôme welcomes you to his parallel world, a zero-alcohol cellar at the foot of the Grue Jaune. The warm, colorful space has been designed with the codes of a cellar in mind, to showcase a fine selection of 350 non-alcoholic beverage references. You had to think about it. The rumcito (rum, ginger and lime) is worth a detour, but it's not the only one. The softs are just as sparkling and the beers, always alcohol-free (a nice alternative), are bursting with flavor. As are the de-alcoholized wines and flavored varietal juices. For lunch or dinner, there's charcuterie, crackers and spreads with hummus or organic vegetables. But you can also treat yourself in the artisanal grocery store. On offer: sausages, spreads, meat, vegetable and fish terrines.

And viva Espana! And singing please, because here the atmosphere is festive and warm service. This is the inescapable bar in Nantes, in the colours of Andalusia: barrels, mosaics tables, suspended meats broadcast its smoked ham smells which stir the envy of pick in its tapas trays in platillos, banderillas or croquettas: sausage, serrano, patatas bravan, combinados del Mar and so on! To test its alcoholic specialities: La Madeleine à la pêche, the Jacqueline to the papacy or its famous sangria, but of course porron. Because here, the challenge is to know how to drink by the beak the spout of this special pitcher without putting aside, then to play! Encounter by salsa music, we think almost in the south, when the beautiful Nantes does not make its wet whims.
