The Mescladis Festival is the name given to the festivities in Brassac-sur-Agout, in the Tarn region of France. For 4 days, all generations come together, and all kinds of music mix in a friendly, crazy atmosphere. Combined with rock bands, traditional bals variétés or musettes and other bandas and brass bands that set the streets alight during the day, the concerts give the Mescladis Festival a unique flavour. L'Isle-Jourdain gets festive in July! Organized by the Comité des Fêtes, the festivities are as varied as they are festive: funfair, merry-go-rounds, numerous food stalls and refreshment stands in local colors, pétanque and fishing competitions, traditional dances with live bands on the Esplanade des Pyrénées square... In the heart of the Vallon, Marcillac winemakers celebrate their wines! During this one-evening event, you're invited to taste wines from the 4 AOPs (Marcillac, Entraygues-le-Fel, Estaing, Côtes de Millau) and IGP Aveyron, alongside the winemakers. The evening is enlivened by the Harmonie de Marcillac orchestra, and at the beginning of the evening, you're treated to the typical enthronement by the Échansonnerie de la Saint Bourrou. Don't miss the olive festival in Bize-Minervois! During a whole day, it is the occasion to learn the secrets of the olive tree, from the culture of the tree to the benefits of the olive oil. On the program: demonstration of pruning and grafting of olive trees, conference on the cultivation and maintenance of the olive tree, great aioli competition, aperitif, lunch... The afternoon is devoted to occitan animations and the gourmet market. The day ends in beauty with the burning of the river, fireworks and concert.

In October, Anduzepaystribute to the symbolic tree of the Cévennes with two popular events: the chestnut festival and the soup festival. This huge market, set at the foot of an impressive pyramid of reinette apples and sweet onions, features a wide range of local produce from the Gard region. Gourmets will love the giant onion soup or sweet onion fritters with chestnut flour, or the "special fair" menu in the town's restaurants. You'll also find Camargue bulls, olives, Bouzigues oysters, pélardons, chestnuts, mushrooms, Vézénobres figs, Uzès black truffles..

The greatest names in classical and baroque music from all over the world have been gathering in July in Uzès for over fifty years. In the courtyards of the duchy and the bishop's palace, in the cathedral of Saint-Théodorit, the church of Saint-Étienne, the temple or the auditorium of L'Ombrière, symphonies and concertos enchant the ducal city during two weeks. The festival is gradually opening up to other musical genres, notably jazz, in order to reach a wider audience. A charming meeting, loved as much by the musicians as by the spectators.

This association organizes the summer festival of the Douctouyre valley. This multicultural festival proposes each year local theater, projections of reports and documentaries, concerts, meetings with the producers of the valley, various workshops... Every year for over thirty years, organized by the Fébus Aban association, these medieval festivities bring together over 400 extras and 50 horsemen to parade through the streets of the beautiful bastide town of Mazères on Saturday at 9 p.m. and on Sunday at 4 p.m. before the show. The first edition of the festival Festa Majorca was a great success! With an eclectic program implemented by Catalan producers with the support of the department, it is in the heart of Perpignan, in the sumptuous palace of the kings of Majorca, that festival-goers can enjoy two enchanted days: traditional wooden games for young and old, sound baths with local tunes, old-fashioned circus, dance and rock scenes, electro as well as sound system... It is about sixty Catalan artists who meet during this beautiful local event.

For more than 30 years, the lucques, which is an AOC olive, is honored in Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière and Clermont-l'Hérault the last weekend of September. The producers gather around the olive to celebrate this moment of sharing by tastings. Strolls with stories, a market of local producers, the discovery of organic cosmetics based on olive oil, animations for children, and a 100% local meal around the Lucques, animate the streets of the villages. A beautiful program honoring the land and the Lucques in particular!

This event is held in the gardens of the town hall: local producers and craftsmen from all over the department are present. Producers of olive oil, tapenades, olives, honeys, jams, wines, fruit juices, as well as an oil bar and tastings. Activities for children, a country lunch with a band for the atmosphere, etc.. For the past 17 years, this event has honored local products and has been a growing success.

The Mise Au Point festival, known as MAP, is a cultural event entirely free of charge dedicated to amateur photography. Created in 2009, it has grown in size and is held every year in the city centre. Its ambition is to make the general public discover the practice, while serving as a showcase for budding talents. It is a bridge between the inner worlds of the exhibitors and the eyes of the visitors. As a nomadic festival, every year it invests different emblematic sites of Toulouse's cultural heritage, which it transforms into giant galleries. To be looked at with a wide open mind! Near Condom in the Gers countryside, the Foyers Ruraux du Gers organizes annual Gascon palet competitions. Whether you're a fan or just curious, come to Vicnau to play alongside twenty-five enthusiasts, or simply to discover this traditional sport! Here, sport and pleasure go hand in hand: it's a three-hour competition where everyone is rewarded. A firm favorite with Castrais residents, the Saint-Jean festival is built around the traditional bell-ringing of the Notre-Dame-de-la-Platé carillon, traditional instruments and music, and Occitan dances and songs. The farmers' market will be accompanied by music from the craba, the large bagpipes of the Montagne Noire, and the graile, the oboe of the Monts de Lacaune and Sidobre. Join in the great Occitan ball, with its farandoles and branles, interrupted at nightfall by the traditional bonfire around which the crowd dances to the sound of the Bufarèls!

Saint-Chély-d'Apcher holds its traditional annual festival at the beginning of August, in a friendly, family atmosphere. For twenty-five years, the 31 Notes d'été festival has combined culture, heritage and tourism by offering free concerts, shows, fifty or so tourist and cultural visits and exhibitions throughout the Haute-Garonne. The objective being to create links, no less than 36,000 people gathered in 2022 for the whole festival throughout the department to experience moments of shared emotion. Auvillar celebrates its patron saint on Trinity Sunday. The town comes alive, and winegrowers gather with musicians and folk groups. After the planting of the Mai, a gourmet meal awaits you at the Halle, followed by the procession of the Arbudets with music, and a grand ball. The next day, you'll wake up to the sound of cannon fire, as village children sell flowers and older children enjoy the farmers' market. The festivities continue with mass, bandas, processions, traditional dances and a convivial meal.

Every June for the past 30 years, the village of Anglars has been transformed into a living museum as part of its fête votive. over the course of an afternoon, 350 extras dress up in costumes to bring back to life old trades, everyday scenes, typical characters and village life, in a show that's sure to be enjoyed by all. The free Anglars festival attracts around 7,000 people, including over 5,000 for the Sunday show. Other weekend events include a concert by a local band, an aperitif with bandas, a traditional lunch, fireworks and a bal musette.

The Salon Vins & Terroirs delights all lovers of French gastronomy! Over 150 exhibitors, mainly winemakers and wine merchants, from all over France come together for this gourmet event, punctuated by tasting workshops and introductions to oenology. With your returnable glass, you can taste the wines from each stand, as well as a variety of other delicacies such as charcuterie, spices, tea, caviar and honey. A delicious moment!

With tunes from America and South Africa to Europe, you can enjoy world music concerts, street entertainment, parades and various workshops on the folk arts and traditions of the invited countries. In recent years, however, local and regional culture has taken center stage, with exhibitions on the musical instruments of the cobla, and the culinary and folk traditions that make up the cultural richness of the Catalan region.

As part of the "Mardis de l'Été" (Summer Tuesdays), Floc de Gascogne, the South-West's must-have aperitif, is the star of a day of cocktail events (initiation and tasting) to discover the drink. Later in the day, enjoy a guided tour of the Cathedral and a free organ concert by Les Vespérales. Finally, in the evening, the traditional gourmet market featuring local producers awaits you! It's the last major event for fans of traditional games from the South-West, as it's the final day of the Trophée! At this tournament, open to all, players are divided into groups for the three workshops: quilles au maillet, palet gascon and rampeau. Beginners can also sign up to take part in this friendly competition. Of course, whether you're a participant or a spectator, don't miss the awards ceremony and the "pot de l'amitié" at the end of the day!

How can you miss this crazy summer event, the only one of its kind in the world? The concept is simple: a 35 x 40 m rugby pitch floating on the Garonne River in the heart of the "ville rose", with no touchline or end zone: you have to dive to score! It's 4 days of rugby, festivities and conviviality, with the main EAU'LL STAR tournament featuring French and international players, as well as a number of tournaments organized in parallel to enable all fans to get out on the pitch and dive into the river!

The Fête du Pois Chiche is a cultural event symbolic of the very contemporary vivacity of totem poles in Occitania, and now a must for lovers of music and live entertainment. The Kollectif du Pois Chiche Masqué invites you to join in the fun with their wackiest activities: brass bands, concerts, street art, traditional balls, crazy and poetic theater and street shows, exhibitions at the Musée International du Pois Chiche... from Occitan music to rock'n'roll, the collective has a wacky weekend in store for you!

August 16 is the annual celebration of Montpellier's patron saint, Saint Roch, in the city of his birth. Montpellier organizes the Fêtes de la Saint Roch, an event open to all, welcoming not only thousands of pilgrims, but also visitors and tourists from all over the world. On the program for these festive days: a tour dedicated to Saint Roch with Tourist Office guides, an international symposium, processions and liturgical events, festive street entertainment and concerts.

On the Côte Vermeille, Banyuls celebrates Catalan culture in July. The festival kicks off with a parade of musical groups accompanied by the impressive Capgrossos Torroellencs, a 400-year-old tradition from Torroella-de-Montgri. Enjoy this joyous cavalcade to the sound of the gralla along the route. Don't miss the sardanes that liven up the streets, the many concerts and the seaside Catalan market. Originally a religious festival in praise of Carmaux's patron saint, La Saint Privat has been a key summer event in Carmaux for over 100 years. Popular and open to all, numerous events are organized for the enjoyment of Carmausines, Carmausins and visitors alike: Bodéga, cavalcade and nocturne, pétanque competition, fireworks display, concerts and rides, garage sales, cycle race... The origins of this great traditional festival lie in the celebrations surrounding the arrival of the relics of the town's patron saint in 1701. Today, the Saint-Vincent festivities in Collioure have become the highlight of Collioure life. Over the course of 5 days, locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy a wide range of entertainment: sea processions in Catalan boats, water games, concerts and bandas, balls, sardanas, street arts... not forgetting the grandiose fireworks display launched over the bay!

Since 1991, the Confluences association has organized the Lettres d'automne literary festival every year at the end of November in Montauban and throughout the department. During two weeks, the program offers meetings, readings, shows, literary concerts, exhibitions, workshops, the festival bookstore, as well as bridges from literature to various artistic disciplines (cinema, sculpture, dance...).

What an unmissable event! This friendly sporting event takes place on the beach at Gruissan over 3 days. It's the biggest "touch" tournament on the Mediterranean coast, and you'll be able to watch some great beach rugby matches, but here, for more speed, less downtime and more spectacle, it's tackle-free! There's plenty of entertainment on offer too: beach rugby for women, children and teenagers, player autographs, concerts... A sensational weekend for lovers of the oval ball!

The Sant Jordi festival in Perpignan is a not-to-be-missed event in the literary world. For 10 days, books are in the spotlight with an attractive program including conferences, exhibitions, shows, book fairs and signings, writing workshops, tributes, film screenings and the Mediterranean prize-giving ceremony... 3 days of traditional Catalan dance in Céret! This dance holds a special place in the hearts of all Roussillon residents. During the festival, you'll be able to meet "colles" (groups of dancers) from the 4 corners of the department and Spanish Catalonia. To the sound of coblas (sardana orchestras), try your hand at this dance or enjoy the music in the streets and squares of the village! The event closes with the "Germanor", a sardana fraternity gathering up to 500 dancers.

Organized by Le Fil Production, the Trad'session is a touring season of traditional music in music venues across the Occitanie region. Each session is a new call to share and celebrate for fans of traditional music and dance. The events not only showcase traditional music, but also introduce a new audience to a musical aesthetic that is rarely represented in contemporary music venues.
