RING for Rencontres internationales des nouvelles générations. Set up by Michel Didym, director of the Théâtre de la Manufacture, this festival takes place every two years and advocates the opening of theater to all audiences. It highlights new forms of theatrical expression, contemporary and committed, which shake up genres and codes, without borders: the companies come from all over Europe and elsewhere. The RING festival also includes meetings, debates, concerts and... a lot of fun!

The Bibasse Convention is a juggling festival that has been held every year for the past 8 years, at the end of May, at the MJC 3 Maisons. Four days dedicated to the circus arts and live entertainment, with performances in the street and under the big top, workshops and initiation workshops, open stages, gala, parade, games... A show for the general public, but which also allows artists to meet, work together and improve their skills in a warm atmosphere, with camping and parties in the big top. Reservations strongly recommended.

Organized by the ASPTT Nancy Meurthe-et-Moselle, this race takes place on the famous Saint-Nicolas day. A family and festive event above all: the 10 km race is a loop with no significant difference in altitude, in cobbled streets and alleys of the park, to be completed four times. At the end of the draw, participants will receive numerous prizes and bonuses at the finish line. A "family race" starts at around 12:00, for all, without medical certificate.

Organized by the Pelpass et Cie association, Paye Ton Noël is a festival of music and street art. The concept is simple: celebrate Christmas in an offbeat way during the first two weeks of December. Each year, a different theme serves as a red thread: medieval in 2018, intergalactic super Santa Claus in 2019! What's in store for the ^18th edition in December 2024? It's still a complete surprise... In any case, you'll be able to attend concerts, shows and other workshops, as well as watch short films. A great atmosphere guaranteed!

Created by an association bringing together enthusiasts of the 9th Art, Strasbulles is the European comic strip festival in Strasbourg. Alsace Comic Strip (ADB) invites many illustrators from all over Europe to Strasbourg to participate in signing sessions on Place Kléber but also to lead conferences and debate at round tables. Exhibitions in the Aubette salons are also organized. They allow to highlight the fantastic work of the artists and to contemplate their original plates.

The 10 ^th edition of Meuse Madine Camping Car to be held on the shores of Lake Madine is a pleasant spring meeting. If you would like to visit the Tourist and Camping Bus, which will take place on this occasion, you will be able to find out that entry and parking will be free. You will discover new excursions, new animations… not forgetting the traditional nature, musical evenings, aperitifs' General Tour 'and the local market. In 2018, this is the 17 ^th edition of Bik 'Saulx! Would you like to discover the Saulx Valley differently? Why not do it in ATV? With steep paths, on the road or through the forests, the association "Sports and Discovery to Jean d 'Heurs" proposes to join you to participate in this sporting event which is intended to be warm and whose objective is not to win, but to make fun. Several courses are designed so that everyone can find their account. You can choose from 20 to 55 km. The departure takes place from the Stables of Jeand 'Heurs to Lisle-en-Rigault. Don't forget your bikes!

If you want to discover local products, the Holiday Festival is made for you. Over two days, various animations will be organized in May. After a meal in the ballroom, everyone will go to the church of Senones to listen to Te Deum by the ensemble Stradivavia in Nantes. This is the day after the twinning mass. Several small growers will also be rewarded before lunch. In the afternoon, conferences, tastings and concerts are underway.

Kite lovers, meet for two events organized by the club Est-Air. In spring, Eurovolies, at the racecourse, gives to see free static or acrobatic flights, with many kite pilots and kite creators from France and neighbouring countries. The Hop Hop Hop festival is a hit! This cross-border open-air show is a huge success. For the past 15 years, the festival has taken over the Saint-Louis district, offering a host of free street shows for all ages. The atmosphere is right for the beer festival! The 24th edition of the Lumberjack Round, a major event in the town's sporting calendar, is expected to bring together again this year nearly a thousand amateur athletes and enthusiasts around four races on roads and forest paths. So choose the one that suits you, put on your sneakers and... on your marks... get set... go! The first departure is at 17:10 rue de la Lisière in Schirrhein, near the multipurpose hall. Every year, in the Sainte-Marie park, more than 120 craftsmen, horticulturists, gardeners, nurserymen, landscapers, gather for a weekend to show you their beautiful crops and their latest creations. We also think of spoiling you, with stands of producers of delicatessen, cheese, jams, ice creams and other local wonders. Over the years, this event has become an opportunity to talk with real professionals and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in one of the most beautiful parks in the city.

The Potters' Market is an event that takes place every year, in the summer and at Christmas, during the art market organized by Métiers d'art métropole. Among all these craftsmen, come and meet the ceramists who are ready to enlighten you on their know-how, their ideas, their techniques and their universe. Sculptures, vases, teapots and glasses delicately shaped, unique dishes beautifully decorated, small figurines and other original creations where colors and materials are combined wonderfully are presented for our greatest pleasure...

Organized by the association TEKHNE, this event takes place every two years in Nancy and nearby cities and allows the general public to discover the work of local artists. Over a weekend, more than 200 artists open the doors of their studios to present their work and their latest creations. The next edition will be held in 2023, so don't forget to get a map of all the open studios to plan your route.

Every two years, students from all over eastern France gather at the 24h de Stan to race around the Place Carrière on gigantic floats decorated according to a theme. Artistic shows, parades, games and tombolas are organized in parallel, and each school has a stand in the square. The atmosphere is good-natured, and the prizes awarded are mostly symbolic and humorous. The event ensures Nancy's reputation as a student city, as young people take over the city to celebrate student life in just 24 hours!

Do you think you're better off Sunday than Experienced runner? There is no fear of sporting competitions! On 13 July in Tournai, the Tricolore Tricolore will suit you perfectly. In the programme: two adult races 2,5 km and 10 km, as well as a test "P'tits meet" of 800 m. Changing on a very rolling loop, the courses show no difficulty. So choose your challenge, put the trainers together, and make yourself among the 300 participants expected that day!

Every year at the beginning of the summer, the Douëra park comes alive for the Douëraphonies and is transformed into an "ephemeral musical village". On the program of the festivities, local concerts of pop, rock, variety and current music, as well as animations for children. A small restaurant and a refreshment bar, located at the entrance and stands of jewelry and other handicrafts installed on the site bring a warm atmosphere, very friendly to this small musical event that always delights its audience!

To your sneakers! On Monday, July 13, 2020 in Waldowisheim, the Waldo Races will take place, a sporting and friendly event that has brought together nearly 500 athletes every year for 40 years. On the programme for this 2020 edition: three routes, one of which is 7.1 km long, in a 1.2 km loop in the town, then on the road to the neighbouring villages. No great difficulty to mention, except for a slightly hilly route. Feel ready? So on your marks... Ready? Go away! But beware: any participant without a licence must have a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to running in competition.

Amateurs and enthusiasts on foot, visit Flize on May 7 th! The municipality will live on that day at the pace of the many athletes who came to participate in the 10 km test, marked between paths and trails. Ideal to add a touch of sports training to your summer holidays, without sweating blood and water, the course does not have a major difficulty. Beginners or more experienced, to your trainers and sail! A snack will be offered to all participants following the festivities.

On March 17 th, a small corner of Haute-Marne will take place at the rhythm of the Fish night, which will take place in the local area and in its surroundings from 18 h. A cultural initiative that had to be included in our guide. In 2024, the festival celebrates its ^32nd anniversary. The principle? The screening of films or shorts in which the heroes are children. A great way to paint children from all over the world, the project travels throughout the region. Themed evenings include manga, documentaries and short films, as well as ciné-goûter, guest screenings and prize-giving by a high-school jury. A lively fortnight of cinema that puts young people in the spotlight.

Just a few kilometres from the border with the Vosges department, the Schnepfenried ski area offers a whole range of Nordic activities. Here, there's no question of letting the end of summer get the better of us, the arrival of the first snow is eagerly awaited by the skiers. In addition to the thirteen downhill ski runs, the resort has carefully marked cross-country ski trails. You will have the choice between several loops of 2.5 kilometres to 7 kilometres on the heights, and a twelve-kilometre round-trip Nordic road that joins the Breitfirst. A loop completes the 4-kilometre Nordic route to the Auberge de Steinlebach, where it is possible to spend the night. You will probably meet snowshoe walkers or sled dogs who come to enjoy the exceptional view from the ridge.

The Station station, or the Hermitage Brother Joseph, offers in addition to its alpine ski slopes three other cross-country ski slopes to try the winter sports. Three levels are proposed: a very easy one kilometre school, ideal for its first steps on the snow; a second km track, La, marked in blue and accessible to beginners; and the 3 km Pine trail, more sporty, which joins the area of Bussang. Furthermore, three raquettes circuits are also in free access from the station. What a good bowl of air!

To take Advantage of school holidays, the northern domain of La - Lispach organizes the Nordic Family Trophy every Friday from February 13 to March 6. This annual event is aimed at families more than experienced athletes. The principle is simple: Each team, composed of an adult and a child, has to take a course mixing cross-country skiing and shooting to the laser rifle. No panic, the course is easy, especially designed for beginners, and framed by monitors. An ideal place to spend time with your children! Participation is free, but places are limited, so you have to register ahead (until the day before the day).

It is short, it is flat, it is feasible on foot, cycling and rollers; in other words, it is perfect for beginners! A short go back to jogging, or some shots at the end of the day, and here you will quickly take the rhythm of physical exercise on a daily basis! Set on the route of an old railway, this link Anould-Plainfaing serves in the passage the commune of Fraize: A very good alternative to the N 415, (too) often congested!

Often overshadowed by other battles with more familiar names, the Battle of Vaux-Marie nevertheless played an important role in the retreat of German troops. As the village of Rembercourt was in the path of German troops seeking to encircle Verdun, deadly fighting took place there, leaving the French battalions victorious but very weakened. Experience an immersive discovery at the heart of the battle: a docu-fiction interpretation tour combines special effects and re-enactment for even greater realism.

A main race of 10 km for passionate runners, and three secondary races to allow the youngest to participate; this is the program of the bullfight of Saint-Brice-Courcelles which is held every year in the streets of the town. For those who would like to add a competitive dimension to their regular or more occasional sports training: put on your sneakers and take part in this friendly event! Each year, the association Relaxation and Culture in Argonne organises an exhibition on the lavender fields in the "grand" washhouse of Lavoye. It allows the public to discover, thanks to a reconstruction of scene and explanations, the work of these women at the beginning of the 20th century, their actions and their daily life in the wash house. The exhibition also traces the history of these buildings, their method of construction and the need for each town for having a wash house from the 18th century.
