Every year, at the beginning of July, the Ville Haute district puts on its Renaissance costume. For one weekend, heritage and street arts are honored during three intense days. Animations and strolls take place in the courtyards, in the public squares and in the gardens of some private individuals. Discover the Festival Market with its flavors, smells, sounds and gestures. Nearly 60 exhibitors are present each year. This event of great notoriety is also part of an environmental approach.

This unique event in France takes place on the 1 st weekend of July, for the 41 st time in 2018! Once again, the Riceys have to go. The Parc des Expositions de Metz Métropole is set in green for the 5 ^th Garden Salon. Shelters, chalets, barbecue, growers, nurseries… everything for the garden! Garden Party is a Salon for the public, dedicated to gardens, facilities, exterior decoration and flowers. This new edition offers you the latest innovations and innovations for the maintenance of your garden and its surroundings, as well as solutions and ideas for your outdoor decoration.

This year, the Festival celebrated its 10 th anniversary around the transvestite's figure. This is a festival that bears its name well! The GRAND Festival is held every 2 years, in the streets of the city, on the quays of London and at the Pré-L'Évêque leisure centre. The association Bielles et pistons takes care of repairs and gives a new lease of life to motorized two-wheelers. Once a year, it organizes this exhibition "Le deux roues fait son show". This regional motorcycle show attracts a lot of people. Dealers and exhibitors offer a wide choice of motorcycles, scooters and internal combustion engine bicycles. A musical entertainment rhythms the day. An exhibition of period solex and motorcycles is also worth a visit. Other surprise activities complete this show, which is a must for motorcycle enthusiasts and an annual meeting. Snacks and drinks stand allow you to eat on site.

La Semaine de l'Impro, created in 2010, has become a not-to-be-missed event in Nancy for discovering or rediscovering this festive and collective form of theater. The festival, conceived by the Crache-Texte company and the Impro Nancy association, features performances at the Théâtre Mon Désert of theatrical, musical, clowning, audiovisual and literary improvisation, as well as happenings by artists from Brazil, Colombia, Belgium and the USA. Workshops open to all and a grand gala match at the Salle Poirel round off the program.

The program of the Rencontres Théâtrales de Tomblaine: to make culture accessible to the greatest number of people and to make the artistic fiber of the Grand Nancy vibrate. Many professional shows of great quality are proposed. Masterclasses and exhibitions also take place, as well as amateur shows presented by local groups, colleges and high schools of the territory. In all, nearly 10,000 visitors and more than 1,000 young people are involved, a dynamic that makes the festival the most important theatrical event in the region.

Le Trait d'Union is 3 000^m2 of space dedicated to culture. It is the main professional tool for artistic creation and diffusion in the western Vosges. Since 2003, the cultural space actively participates in the dynamics of the department. The Grand Nancy Métropole HB is the professional handball club of reference in Lorraine. The first team has been playing in Proligue (D2) for more than 10 years, the reserve team in National 3 and the under 18 in the French Championship. The Nancy Jazz Pulsations music festival in the fall moves to the Parc de la Pépinière for a Sunday, a family day with many free concerts. In September, Pépinière en Vert also becomes a large plant market where more than 90 exhibitors offer their products and crafts and the Emile Gallé prize is awarded to a literary work related to horticulture. Pépinière en Fête manages to make us forget the nostalgia of the summer period and to anticipate the arrival of pumpkins and other cucurbits.

After a long winter, Spinaliens love to get together in the streets of the town center to celebrate the return of fine weather. Every summer, free concerts and shows are offered to the public. For the little ones, there are burlesque shows (mime, clown, singer) every Wednesday afternoon at 3pm in the Parc du Château. As for adults, head for the emblematic Place des Vosges, where a concert takes place every Friday evening. A wonderful initiative that deserves to be highlighted!

The Triathlon Alsace Club de Colmar is behind Alsace's only swimrun to date. Held in early September at the Colmar-Houssen nautical base, this fun and sporting competition consists of a sequence of swims (schwim) and runs (run). Depending on your age and physical condition, you can choose from a range of options. The solo or relay race comprises 4 sequences of 2.3 km of running, each interspersed with 200 m of swimming. The Kids Discovery for 8/11 year-olds includes 50 m of swimming and 500 m of running, to be completed twice. And for 12/15 year-olds, there's 150 m of swimming and 1 km of running to do twice!

An edition of the Salon bio et Bien-Être in Saint-Max (a town near Nancy) organised by Envie de Bien-être at the Gérard Léonard cultural centre. About forty exhibitors will be present. Conferences, workshops and various animations will be programmed throughout the two days. You leave your competitive spirit in the changing rooms and enjoy the pleasure of running at night with friends in an ultra friendly atmosphere under the encouragement of a host of supporters. This night march organized by the city's fire brigade takes you to discover Reims by Night! On the program, an 8 km course consisting of two 4 km loops in the heart of the Cité des Sacres in the footsteps of the kings of France. The departure is from Notre-Dame Cathedral, the site of the coronation of the French rulers, to the Basilica of Saint-Rémi, where Clovis was baptized, and back along the banks of the Marne Canal. The price is 12 € for pre-registration, 17 € on site.

Teaching children to love reading is the vocation of the association Lire et Délires, which brings together teachers, librarians and booksellers in love with reading who are committed to passing on their passion to the youngest. This adventure, which began 21 years ago in a classroom at the Cormontreuil school, has now become a children's book fair that brings together each year many authors and illustrators who come to share their creations and share a moment of Reading and Delirium with young and old.

This festival, which aims to promote the making of short films in the region, will open up new horizons for you! It is here that we find the future talents of film creation. Participants have 24 hours to make a short film of less than 5 minutes, a real challenge! You will then be able to see the selected films that will be screened in cinemas. At the end of the festival, the jury will award the prizes for best film, best actor, best plot, respect for constraint and student perspective to the 10 winners at the closing ceremony. The spectators will also have their say with a specially dedicated prize: the public prize.

Ready for the big thrill? Since 2006, the Interpol'Art festival has been the unmissable event for fans of detective stories and noir novels. During its two weeks in October, you will certainly come across famous authors such as Dominique Manotti, Caryl Férrey, Bernard Boudeau... in the City of Rites. Interpol'Art is not only dedicated to literature, the festival is open to all artistic disciplines, whether it be cinema or comics. Although Interpol'Art took a sabbatical year in 2019, it returns this year with an ever rich and varied programme of meetings with authors, signing sessions, round tables, conferences, exhibitions...

On Friday, the potato festival begins with a relay race that takes place at the village stadium. Gifts are on offer to encourage the participants. The next day, the festivities begin with a garage sale & flea market. The opportunity to stroll through the streets, looking for a good deal. This exhibition takes you back to the vintage era. Organized by the Vespa Scooter Club of Strasbourg, the presentation of about a hundred scooter models is truly magical. The machines are beautiful and we are surprised by the state of conservation. Rutilants, coloured: they make you want to buy one. During this weekend, entertainment is provided, as well as a small restaurant and a refreshment bar. Craftsmen and merchants set up their temporary stands, and you have the opportunity to acquire objects in the style of that period. The Pin-up d'Alsace do their show, and the show is worth a visit. The exhibition Talents, la broderie d'art fait nous rêver will bring together for the fourth consecutive year some thirty international exhibitors. Embroiderers and textile designers will be present to present their works and give you advice. This event is unique in France. Gold embroideries, beaded, sequined, true works of art of precision and creativity... Come to shop, chat with professionals, and admire the beautiful exhibits. Workshops are organized on this day.
