It's THE local channel, a real institution in Oxford. There are three establishments spread out in the city, impossible to miss their black and white front, imitation cow. Harbour Fish & Chips is ideally located on St Ives harbor. Fish and seafood are locally caught and served either grilled or breaded (the traditional Fish & Chips). You can choose the fish on your plate: cod, haddock, sea bass, hake, lemon sole, mackerel... Everything is crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth, nicely presented, and surprisingly light for a fish & chip. Opened in 2009 by Marc and Michaela Vérité, this restaurant was the dream of two lovers of French cuisine, having studied in our best establishments. It is a little off-centre, a stone's throw from Birkdale station, but definitely worth a visit. The decoration is rustic and goes well with a warm and authentic atmosphere. On the menu, you can find camembert cooked with caramelized apples and pistachios, deer in sauce and smoked salmon with vegetables.

A witchball is what was hung in the windows of country houses in ^18th-century England to ward off evil spirits! Some say the house dates back to the ^15th century! Opened in 2007, this pub in the picturesque village of Lizard is in fact the most southerly in the UK, with a pleasant terrace and small garden. It serves some good, simple dishes, including fish of the day, burgers and even pizzas. There's also a good selection of Cornish beers. One of our favorite local spots.

Certainly one of the best restaurants in town, well known in the surrounding area. The cuisine is sophisticated and very tasty, with fresh produce cooked to order. The vintage decor combines brick, stone and wood, in an old house in the historic center. A treat for the taste buds at an affordable price. It's also a friendly wine bar, serving wines from all over the world. It's conveniently located, just a stone's throw from the theaters.

The inevitable Rick Stein table is here! It's impossible to come to Padstow without hearing about one of England's greatest chefs. The chef has been operating here since 1975! This is where it all began for him. The place is worth its weight in gold, often celebrated as one of the best seafood restaurants in the country. But be warned, prices are accordingly high and, above all, you'll need to book in advance to secure your place and make sure you don't miss out on this gustatory experience. The chef now has eight addresses throughout southern England.

If you're visiting the beautiful neighborhood of Greenwich and craving pizza, Bianco 43 is the place to go. The pizzas are fresh and tasty, and the prices quite reasonable, with truly exceptional discounts for students. You can order takeaway and enjoy your meal on the banks of the Thames, just a few yards from the restaurant. In the evening, at sunset, it doesn't get much better than this, and you won't be the only one with this idea. So don't hesitate to treat yourself at this small, local restaurant.

An elegant gastro-pub with everything you could wish for! This former ^16th-century carriage house has been transformed into a charming restaurant with traditional brick walls and parquet flooring, complemented by a delicate, modern decor. After a warm welcome from Claudia, you'll be offered the à la carte menu and a choice of regularly changing dishes, prepared with fresh produce by chef Matt and his team. Simple but delicious. We've fallen in love with this place, where you'll feel right at home, just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

The indisputable Bankers, considered the best fish & chips in Brighton for years, doesn't disappoint. The quality is always there, in this great Hove restaurant. And, for once, you can enjoy your fish & chips comfortably seated at the table. A vegetarian option is also available. Whichever option you choose, the portions are generous and the service very quick. What's more, the restaurant only uses fish from sustainable fisheries. A fine effort to be encouraged!
