Located in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, not far from Clifton Hill, this steakhouse-style restaurant serves nothing but quality cuts, from filet mignon to sirloin steak, not to mention ribs, steak and lobster combo or lobster tail dinner. Everything is truly delicious and prepared exactly the way you want it. Nice wine cellar as a bonus. Another branch at the Embassy Suites Hotel with a breathtaking view of the falls.

B'Spoke is a food court like no other. When you step inside, there are no gourmet kiosks, but rather a nice, conventional dining room. In fact, each "kiosk" is a virtual restaurant of gourmet take-out food: pierogies, poké bowls, sandwiches or tacos. To eat on site, the B'Side Bar offers a more complete menu, while integrating the specialties of the four virtual kitchens. You can also enjoy a good cocktail or a glass of wine, in the dining room or on the terrace when the weather is nice.

The brainchild of Stephen Beckta, who is also at the helm of Beckta Dining & Wine and Gezellig, Play Food & Wine offers a slate of small dishes with a penchant for cheeses and charcuterie. The inspiration in the kitchen is undeniably European, but everything is concocted with very Canadian products, whenever possible. To accompany these little delights, a very extensive wine list completes the experience (a nice selection of wines by the glass), and for each dish, a wine is suggested for the pairing.

This is clearly the best place in town, if not the region, to brunch! We loved the sourdough toast topped with mashed avocado, bacon, smoked tomato chutney and roasted sesame seeds, all topped with a fried egg. A pure delight! In addition to its breakfasts served until late in the day, the place also offers, for example, salads, pokés and sandwiches for all appetites. On Friday evenings, the place offers Mexican cuisine (tacos, fajitas, burritos, ceviche, etc.). A gourmet address at the top!

Jamie Hodges and Amber Thom are behind this gourmet address opening in 2019. Formerly owners of the Juniper Cafe, they sold it to create their own eatery, established in the historic center of the city. With its beautiful Mid-Century style decor, it offers small and large bistro dishes, all concocted with seasonal foods from about 20 local farmers and producers. The wine list and cocktail list are worth a visit. Bonus: a wine store to take away, open the same days from noon to 6 pm.

On the plate, an Asian fusion cuisine served in the form of tapas, including the inevitable baos (steamed stuffed buns). Half the menu offers vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten-free options. Established in 2019 just a stone's throw from Parliament, Aiana is a high-flying address under the leadership of chef Raghav Chaudhary. And this is not his first try, as he has worked in renowned restaurants in San Francisco and Europe. Here, he draws inspiration from Nordic, European and West Coast cuisines, all with a distinctly Canadian twist in a "farm-to-table" spirit. For those who can afford it, the 10-course menu is a must, and it's worth the extra cost for the wine pairing.

At the junction of Little Italy and Chinatown is this little gem of an Italian restaurant. Opened in 2022 by Cesare Agostini and his sister Nina, it immerses us in a retro pizzeria atmosphere with a decor that combines cool and kitsch: wooden walls, old Italian posters, dishes from another era, fake fur on the back bench, etc. The main reason to come is for the thin-crust pizzas made with the freshest ingredients. The rest of the menu is also worth a visit, not to mention the bar with its tasty cocktails.

We already love the interior with its eclectic and vintage style (mention to the old wooden cabinets at the bar). Each dish conceived by the chef and his brigade is a gourmet invitation to discover the different flavors of the world, without falling into traditional cuisine. The menu offers small and large dishes, to share or not.

Perched on the ^38th floor of the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, this high-flying restaurant is the first and only North American address of Michelin-starred chefs Alfonso and Ernesto Iaccarino. This fine Italian cuisine restaurant was awarded a Michelin star for the first ever edition in Toronto in 2022. Needless to say, the experience here is impeccable and decidedly gourmet, not to mention a breathtaking view of the city skyline , harbour and Lake Ontario. If you want to treat yourself, this is the place to come!

A relatively new addition to Toronto's food scene (late 2021), it is the brainchild of popular chef Rob Rossi, who also owns the renowned Giulietta on College Street. This osteria concocts typical northern Italian cuisine and was awarded a Michelin star in 2022, a testament to the quality of the ingredients and dishes on the menu. The menu features seafood, a tradition rooted in the Liguria region. Mention should also be made of the superb minimalist design of the premises, a creation by Guido Costantino.

Opened by the team behind The Wren, a gourmet address next door, The Wood Owl is more of a wine bar, supported by a cuisine that perfectly matches the wines offered. You can enjoy a pan-fried entrecote with romesco sauce and salsa verde of charred shallots accompanied by pommes allumettes and a good glass of Malbec. Beach Hill also has two other locations, one in Greektown and one in the Upper Beaches.

Welcome to the table of renowned chef David Adjey, in his new location in Little Portugal.
