Next to the Halle aux Grains, in the heart of Bayeux, a world of sweets opens up to you. Nathalie did not forget to bring back from the coast, where she was based, the ancestral recipe of the famous Gui-Gui, a soft candy twisted around a stick. On the former industrial site of Notre-Dame-de-Bondeville, a branch of the ESAT du Pré de la Bataille has been set up. It is a workshop-boutique where the ESAT workers, the confectioners, make sweet specialities, including the famous Rouen apple sugar, once sold by apothecaries to relieve sore throats and ward off melancholy, but also chocolates and candied fruit. An interesting visit to this establishment, which won an award at the Trophées de l'Attractivité touristique in the category Valorisation du Patrimoine.

Well established on the Place de la Fontaine, in the heart of the Cherbourg hypercentre for more than forty years, the Yvard house is at the top of the list when it comes to pastry and chocolate. But not only: indeed, the tea room, located at the back of the shop, combines the pleasure of the taste buds, whether it is pastry or ice cream. If you haven't been here for some time, you will discover a brand new decoration, very successful.

Well known for the Rouennais, this shop is full of sweet treats. Sold by weight and in bulk, these sweets will have you hooked for unbeatable value! Especially if you are tempted by the recurring promotion of the sign: for every kilo of candy bought, one kilo offered. Located at the most frequented pedestrian crossroads in the city, at the corner of Rue du Gros-Clock and Jeanne-d'Arc Street, this boutique is the ultimate temptation. It offers all the major confectionery brands, American products (drinks and candies), and around 250 varieties of sweets, including Norman specialties such as calvados and apple candies. You only have to choose from this array, pick the candies of your choice, place them in your small plastic bag, and weigh them. A child's play! Suitable for both the little ones and the grown-ups.

Right in the centre, nobody can miss this colourful shop... especially not the kids! The specialty of the house? Sweets, of course! Berlingots and lollipops in as many different colours as their shapes jostle in this space! Violet, banana, strawberry, fruit cocktail, round or twisted? The sizes are also so varied that for the largest of the lollipops, you wouldn't know how to eat them! The taste and texture are not deceiving: all these sweets are made by hand on the spot.

From their humble stall in Vimont to their premises in Argences, Aurélie and Ghislain are unstoppable. because "the delight is in the unexpected", this complicit duo has us salivating as they relax our zygomatic muscles. Chocolates, sweets, cookies and confectionery always fill the shelves. With the added bonus of a delicatessen and a tea room, it's the perfect place to sample the speciality of pommes au Calvados: a liquid heart of AOC calvados coated in homemade marzipan. Hmm! A merchant of happiness that puts you in a good mood.

The abbey of Valognes is a liturgical place, a notable architectural ensemble, but not only. Indeed, the Benedictine sisters also have a place where they make products that are worth being known: delicious fruit pastes. You should know that their recipe is well-guarded! Guaranteed without colouring, without preservatives, with natural fruit flavours, you will have the choice between ten traditional flavours, with or without chocolate coating, they are just perfect! Many other products are also available for sale in the shop.

Since 1885, Maison Barnier has been perpetuating the tradition from father to son in order to offer quality confectionery. At that time, Marius and Pierre Barnier created a company of artisanal candy manufacturing: Bonbons Suisses. It was bought in 1900 by Eugène Callet who gave it its final name. Made in a traditional way, the candies are concocted with natural products to reproduce the authentic taste of childhood sweets: frills, berlingots, candy canes... But also dragees, chocolates, caramels, lollipops, fruit jellies...

And also Belgian chocolates for amateurs. This time, it is the brand Arosa. In addition, you can enjoy some sweets. What should be fun for young and younger?

We take a small bag to be able to serve in the sweets that are full of sweets from our childhood. Some teddy bears, some Tagada strawberries, a pinch of fries, another teddy bear of all colors and a handful of réglisses.

It is with the milk jam that the history of the company begins. Since then, the family farm has started to produce other milk sweets: chocolates, berlingots, calvados cream or jams, which have been widely rewarded. The sign is also a splendid place, halfway between a flea market and a farm, in an old farmhouse. You also have a nice tea room, in a carefully thought rustic atmosphere. We love it!

Here is an establishment that lives up to its name! In a recently renovated store, with large windows and a chic white and black interior, the shop has a lot going for it. The pastries and breads are delicious, but it's the pastries that are worth the detour, as the place certainly offers some of the best creations in the field: the choice is vast and you won't know where to turn. Finally, note that the place is very easy to find in Barfleur, and that you can easily park nearby.

Le Pré de la Bataille is a Rouennaise association created in 1892. Today, it is recognised as being of public utility and manages four establishments and services of assistance through work. In 2018, Le Pré de la Bataille opened a production workshop in Notre-Dame-de-Bondeville, specialising in the manufacture of sweets like delicious orangettes, original fruit jellies, marshmallows, and the now-famous Rouen cherry or apple sugar, an ancestral speciality that has been delighting gourmets for centuries. The association opens the doors of its workshop where you can discover the processes of creation of chocolates, sugars, and other sweets, sold in the shop and on the association's website. A very good initiative!

All the gourmets and the Norman gourmands meet in Le Tréport in the store of Basil Fouquemberg. Marshmallows, meringues, shortbread cookies, nougats and other delicacies are found alongside the delicious chocolate creations of this talented artisan chocolatier. This is the perfect place to stock up on all kinds of sweets. Moreover, the store offers small bags to offer to your loved ones. Throughout the year, Eden Picard delights those you love, especially during holiday periods such as Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, etc.
