At the Hippodrome de la Glacerie, which mainly hosts trotting races, it is a high-quality facility that you are invited to discover. In addition to the 1,200-metre long and 26-metre wide sand track, the racecourse also has an indoor track with a bar-restaurant from which the track is open to you: a unique experience.

The location, with a capacity of about 120 people, is rather user friendly and well equipped. The private organizes theme evenings some nights of the year. There is also beer to pressure, which is rare in disco. Important: English speaks fluently. Ideal for tourists!

Yes, you'll have to shell out the cash, and the place isn't cheap, but its unexpected, elegant, green and peaceful roof terrace, accessible from the "Par Hasard Maison" decoration boutique (which is also worth a look), promises an unbeatable view of the town and the beach. Ah this famous "Café"! We've been visiting it since we were kids, we've worn out the velvet of the seats! More than 40 years of existence for this independent and atypical place. Its unstructured architecture calls out, and the 3 rooms are just as particular! Its eclectic program is for everyone: from the great classics to see (and see again), to new films in VO, young audiences and previews. In addition, the Café is also a restaurant with a different menu every day, offering brunches and entertainment. Much more than a movie theater!

While many come - and rightly so - for the vast choice of beers on offer here, as well as a few small catering options to enhance the moment, others come for the fun. Billiards and darts, which have always been the hallmarks of the establishment, remain, of course, and the opening hours are long, until 2 am on weekends. And the place is also a Mecca for sports, with numerous animated broadcasts! As you can see, there's never a dull moment here!

Le Bureau is a very nice brewery on the banks of the Seine, but it is above all a pub that offers a wide choice of whiskies and beers. Installed in an old renovated hangar, inspired by British pubs, the establishment has a very cosy decoration. At lunchtime, you can enjoy burgers, aperitif platters or finger food. In the evening, you can enjoy festive themed evenings such as karaoke, DJ sets or salsa, or watch sports matches on the big screen.

If bars in station areas aren't always to be recommended, here's one that makes a difference! Skøll, which opened its doors a few months ago, is a lively little spot. At the helm is Levent, who fell under the city's spell and, when the opportunity arose, didn't hesitate for a moment to take over an old establishment and carry out extensive renovations, now offering games, themed evenings, and a great brasserie service with good value for money.

Gone are the days of the Les Templiers discotheque, replaced by a new lounge bar where conviviality is the order of the day! The bar at the Ancien Couvent Sainte-Barbe is housed in a sumptuous ^15th-century building with a 100% medieval decor. It's the perfect place to end the week over a drink or a platter of charcuterie, cheese or vegetarian delights. But which will you choose between the calm of the first floor, the billiards table on the second floor or the cosy atmosphere of the terrace?

What if we took a little height on the Trouville seafront? This Cabane Perchée, with its young, relaxed and offbeat style, awaits you for lunch, a moment of chill, sunbathing or a snack facing the sea. From the rooftop, you can enjoy a drink or a cocktail, accompanied by tapas (egg rolls, homemade fries with truffle gouda gratin...), a poke bowl or a plank (with lomo, chorizo and Bellota ham for example). Games Park: it's all in the name! In addition to the laser game activities that the place has been developing for many years now, the park has acquired a bowling alley, making it the second one in the city. Intended for everyone, and especially for the youngest, this new space aims to be playful above all. Not approved for hosting competitions, it allows more time for the public! Another feature of the park is the theme evenings and the option to organise private events.

It's an area with many possibilities. La Minoterie is a farm producing ciders and perries to the highest standards, but that's not all. It was on discovering a building that Laure Sourdin, the owner, decided to let her imagination run wild and give it a new lease of life: store, exhibition space, cellar and, of course, guinguette. Open in summer, this bucolic setting is the perfect place to enjoy a drink, catch up with friends, play a game of pétanque - in short, have a good time!

Not only is it a must-see in the heart of the village, but also for its pretty old-fashioned storefront. This June 6th bar, which has been in existence since 1945, is a delightful place whose decor is reminiscent of the liberating heroes, with numerous military objects, right down to the impressive C47 wing that covers part of the covered terrace! There's also a handy grocery store, called "La Madeleine", where you'll find just about everything you need. Locals and tourists alike are sure to drop in.

From 5pm, the doors open to reveal a warm, lounge-like decor with sofas and old armchairs, and even a tree in bloom! We'd love to share tapas, pizza or a charcuterie and cheese board. Opened a few months ago in the heart of Saint-Sauveur, this is a place like no other. The brainchild of Marie-Odile and Bruno, the Nid de la Linotte is not just a store dedicated to knitting. Of course, you'll find knitting balls, knitting advice and dedicated events (the "tricothés"), but that's not all. You can come here for tea, brunch or one of the little marvels cooked on the premises: it's simple and good, all in a lovely atmosphere.

It's always the right time to push the door of Gloriette! Because, in addition to being able to have lunch there, to do your shopping (not cheap but at the same time the brands are famous), you will also be very well there at tea time, around a hot drink (notice to the amateurs, the mocaccino is unctuous as in Italy!). In a clear, calm, vegetal and inspiring atmosphere, you can work or write, as we did. And why deprive yourself of the pastries on the counter? The cinnamon roll and the cheesecake are worth the detour.

Apparently, it's the best mojito in Caen! We also loved the cider, pommeau and blackcurrant cocktail! The atmosphere at Gini's is relaxed. Comfortable with its cushions, the terrace (quieter in the evening) boasts a breathtaking view of the château and Saint-Pierre church. At the helm are Gilles, an old hand from La Bourride, and Nick, of Croatian origin (we speak French, English, Spanish and, of course, Croatian!). Depending on the inspiration of the day and the market, the duo prepare tapas to share. So, t'ché qu'tu bé?

In the heart of the pedestrian streets, just a few steps from the Volcan, you'll find this superb wine and cocktail bar. Here, the wine literally flows, thanks to the winemakers' wine fountains. If you don't know which grape variety to choose, ask the team members, for whom oenology is a real passion, for advice. Classic or original, the cocktails promise a relaxing evening with friends. To accompany all this, let yourself be surprised by the delicious sweet and savoury tapas. And don't forget the terrace in summer!

In this magnificent, totally redecorated place, with its mismatched furniture creating a unique atmosphere, you come here to have a drink, listen to good music, enjoy an atmosphere that often promises to be festive - in short, to have fun. We quickly recommend that you head for Rue Christine.

As work on the Place du Général de Gaulle (known here as the Place du Théâtre) draws to a close, as the Petit Futé team completes this guide, a new café has been added to the range. And not just any café! After 17 years under the well-known name of Scapin, the place has become Café Belleplace! Under the leadership of two friends, who took the opportunity to paint the pretty shopfront blue, the place remains a must for a drink and, in fine weather, to enjoy the beautiful terrace!

It's not just a place to eat, with a focus on pizzas (which are delicious, by the way). Le ^7th art is also a well-known venue for St. Louis locals. Located right next to the cinema complex, which it shares, this place is often bustling with activity, with a well-stocked menu for a drink, whether it's one of the draught beers or the cocktails, which are also very successful. Happy hour is generally a lively affair, and evenings dedicated to sports are colourful.

This atypical, ethical venue run by 2 sisters brings together a florist, a coffee shop and a decorating corner. On the first floor, Pauline offers seasonal flower arrangements from France and Normandy. On the^{1st floor} is Clémentine and a coffee shop with a flowery decor and a British accent. The café's philosophy is based on short circuits, and offers a vegan, homemade and seasonal menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Finally, on the 2nd floor, the decorating area features handicrafts, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

A Club Dorothé fan since childhood, Stéphanie passed on her passion to her children, opening a place that would welcome enthusiasts, the curious and anime fans alike. With her daughter Naomie, Stéphanie opened this tea room dedicated to the world of Japan. Le temple du geek is a journey to the land of manga, where you can enjoy homemade Japanese pastries(mochi, taiyaki, dango), as well as bubble teas and other ramune. an Asian grocery section and manga-related products are also available.

Conveniently located on Place Perret, La Cubane is a new tapas bar where you can meet up with friends. Discover an original cocktail menu and share a board of appetizing tapas with flavors from elsewhere: Iberian charcuterie, marinated shrimps and patatas bravas transport you to sunny climes. The atmosphere in the dining room is immediately put in a good mood by the colorful Latin music. The bartenders' warm welcome and good advice are always appreciated, and help to make the evening memorable!

If the place is famous for its mussels and chips, for which customers can wait on the pavement in high season, it is also a nice bar during the day, with a view of the quays of Carteret, and the beach of Barneville a little further away. The service is fast, the atmosphere is unparalleled and often lively, and the interior, certainly a little busy but terribly friendly, will finish to convince you that you're here in an unmistakable place in the resort.
